How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Neither too esoteric for western ears nor too boring for those used to the more complex genres of the East, this is the perfect well produced blend to keep you listening over and over discovering new nuances every time. Lots of layers and nothing tacky!

Nice film, and nice music. You will like it if you like indian music, but you are not looking for very traditional indian music.

One of the best. So spot on about being over 50 and still feeling young enough to live life to the full while knowing that it's now or never to "live every day of your life."

Love it!

This film is such a feel good film on a par with Mama Mia. I was going to lend it to my mum and dad, but could not bear to part with it, so I'm just going to buy their own copy for Mother's Day. This film is very funny, very touching, and makes you want to go to India, for a LONG stay. :-)

A little too disjointed....
Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on December 15, 2014
Loved the music and style but the bitty nature of the disc was a bit of a let down, for e.g. One track is literally 48 secs long whilst another is 51 secs long. This might be representational of what was in the film but I would be surprised if Mr Newman stopped his composition at these lengths so I assume they have been cut down to edit into the film. It clearly states " music from the Motion Picture" , so there can be no surprises but it did detract for me afraid.

I love this soundtrack and play it all the time. The music is beautiful and uplifting. I work to it, relax to it, dream to it. Perfect recording quality - no problems there. Can highly recommend.

very different to the movie

This is a very good but quite sad read. The movie really focused on the amusing and positive side of the story.. the book is a rather sad and at times depressing look at old age. Worth reading but nothing like the movie
