This is part of a series but could be read alone. The story jumps around so you have to pay attention. Also there are a lot of suspects to keep track of and keep straight. Bianca is a bit of a brat and Regans ex husband is a jerk. Any book by Jackson is a good read but this was not my favorite. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
"Expecting to Die " is not as DARK as some, I'm not saying it's light and happy but if you have read Lisa Jackson' s books before you know what I mean. It has a lot of characters so there are a lot of names to keep up with but the truth is I did not let that bother me, because I just wanted to know Who and Why . The ending was good at least to me because it was unexpected the way she did it.
If you are in the mood for a book with suspense, danger and yes some chuckles ( Pescoli's grouchy pregnant attitude) don't look any further this is the one, I did not want to put it down.
I borrowed the book from my local library for my kindle.
