I loved the fact that the book is written to help people who are movie fans, book fans, or like us BOTH!
The book is filled with great locations but it has even more to give. This book also contain places like, 98331 Gear, Lappell's, and Jilly's. These businesses ended up being some of the biggest DON'T MISS places we visited. I wont spoil it for you, but when you buy the book (and then go there) you will find that these "extra" places are as worth it as the places you knew you wanted to see in the first place.
Lastly I have to say again how helpful the people were. If you have any questions planning your trip or before you purchase this book I would strongly recommend contacting them! Just the friendly customer service and all the information they have is worth the cost of this book. Even before I bought the book they were helping me and answering my questions. That says a lot to me.
The book does exactly what it says it does. It details locations including a variety of shops that can enhance your Twilight Tour experience. The souvenir stamps can make this a true fans collectors item. It's just too bad that more of the businesses did not choose to participate in the stamp program.
The Alice Look a Like who is willing to take time to talk to you and allowed us to take a picture with her made the whole experience even more special for everyone involved. We are not planning a trip to some of the Oregon sites.
I've used MapQuest and Google Earth to look up Carver Cafe, the book identifies the location as Carver Oregon- both websites come up with Damascus but at least the address matches up. Use their name with .com on the end to get their website (still mentions Twilight by the way) . Few, if any, websites given in the booklet.
Google Earth is good for showing the locations real world, that may be the most valuable part of this guide- typing in the address of the Cullen's or Swan's houses to see just how unisolated they really are, both are in developed areas.
The way I read this, only one location has anything at all to do with the real Forks Washington.is that meadow in the movie where the Cullen's and Bella first meet the nomad vampires James, Laurent and Victoria. The guide identifies it as the Quillayute Prairie Cemetery, outside of Forks- it's part of the Quileute reservation.
