And I say fortunately, because there is little choice when it comes about programming in mql5.
Besides the MetaQuotes documentation and this book, I could not find anything else.
The concepts are clearly presented and obviously the author had the reader’s needs in his attention.
Compared to other programming books (programming in general) this book is very easy to read and the information is easy to assimilate.
At the moment I have some experience in mql5 and I found the book very useful for myself. Certainly it will help me to develop my skills and I am sure it would be useful for the more experienced programmers as well.
I was excited about this book in the beginning as it was very clear and descriptive and seemed relevant...up until you hit chapter 8 (page 71.) It is a decent book for learning concepts, but its code is not something you can depend on in using with your own EAs. The author has a downloadable version on his website, but no information about any revisions...so I am not expecting to get anything different if I went that route. I have learned a lot with this book so don't get me wrong. I would probably have rated it with 4 stars...in 2014 or 15. But I have to go elsewhere to get the information I need to compete my project.
