So the stereo I built with this battery has sat on my bench not being used for the past 6 months. It was plugged in to maintain the charge. I finally took it to a job today and the battery has given up the ghost. It still charges, but it completely discharges with the radio on in a matter or minutes. For the money, I guess I can't complain, but this battery hasn't even lasted 2 years with minimal use. Oh well. I guess I'll have to buy another one :(

Although the terminals were different configurations, I did manage to make solid electrical contacts, and after a tense few moments, was able to secure the rear battery panel satisfactorily. I will NOT leave this PowerPack where it could get wet, since the rear door isn't as tight as before, and it's NOT waterproof.
The battery at rest (fully-charged by the PowerPack) has a reading of between 12.8-12.9V DC and I have been satisfied with the stock charger, which puts out 13.8V DC to the PWM charge controller. The battery took about 12 hours to charge when I received it, but I'm more confident now in it's capacity, since in 2012 following Hurricane Sandy's impact with southern CT, the 40 watt LED projector and 20 watt Logitec 2.1 computer sound system only ran for about 40 minutes before sounding the low-battery alarm.
In hindsight, I should have realized the old battery would only have been useful as a cell-phone charger. THIS battery recharges more quickly, stays charged, and fits the battery bay of the Xantrex 400 Plus.
