I cut the factory harness off of the truck and made a set of connectors using male and female spade connectors on one pole and the round bullet connector on the other pole. This prevents someone from hooking them up backward. Attachment to the battery was easy using a ring terminal. The factory battery hold down will need to be removed to install two battery under the hood, you may also wish to trim the plastic to allow them to sit more level.
CHARGING: These batteries were not setup to accept the factory charging cord, the simple solution to this was to purchase a small battery charger. The Schumacher SC-600A-CA was highly recommended among the modification forums. I attach the negative charger line to either negative battery pole and the positive charger line to either positive battery pole. If anything is hooked up backward with the Schumacher, it will notify you and prevent any damage.

1. Playmate Igloo cooler.
2. Norco G3500 12v battery charger.
3. PWM Solar Charge Controller 10A.
4. 150 watt DC to AC inverter.
5. Norco 12v cables.
6. Renogy 50 Watt Solar Pannel.
7. 20' DC 14 gauge garden wire.
8. Trailer Quick disconnect cable
I connected the batteries in parallel and and connected the Norco 12v charger and PWM solar controller and 150 watt dc/ac inverter to the batteries. In this configuration my wife gets is able to run her CPAP machine for 8 to 9 hours with about 25% to 30% charge left.
With the Norco G3500 12v charger, it takes about 3 hours to re-charge the batteries from 25% to 30%. With the Renogy Solar panel, it takes between 5 to 6 hours in direct sunlight to re-charge the batteries.
The wife went on an eight (8) day house boating trip and she set the solar panel on the roof of the house boat and had no problem charging the batteries during the day.
1. Direct fit on the Powerwheels Jeep - seriously they knew... after removing the old battery, this thing slides right in and is secure without any additional bracing
2. at 20ah compared to the original which I believe is 8ah... this thing lasts a LOoong time.... not sure how long yet, so far it hasnt gone dead before he stopped riding... but to give a reference, we drove around an 18 hole golf course on the cart path 3x AND some general ups and downs on the course for a while... still wasnt dead!
Something I have always thought of doing when this time came was to replace the two 8Ah batteries with larger ones. After considering dollar per amp hour (and the fact the UPS requires two 12v batteries in series to supply 24v), these 20Ah ExpertPower SLA batteries were chosen.
Batteries arrived in good condition and a good charge of 12.9 volts. I appreciate the screw down terminals as well. Using 10 AWG stranded wire, I wired the two batteries in series with a small (perhaps 4 inch section), soldering and shrink tubing screw down terminal connectors to the cable. Then to utilize the original CyberPower battery pack's connector, I made-up two more sections of 10 AWG stranded cable (one end having the soldered and shrink tube terminal screw down connectors while the other end having soldered and shrink tube male push on connectors).
The result may not be cosmetically pretty, but it is effective (and hidden in a cabinet along with my VMware server, 24 port POE switch, and cable modem). I will complete the modification (allowing for the UPS front cover to be fully reinstalled) by creating a port on the side of the UPS for the battery connector to run through. In the mean time, I have provided pictures of the current configuration.
Upon initial testing, the UPS provides backup power and charges the new battery pack. I assume the length of time backup power will be provided will be extended.
