Add-a-Leaf Pair are the perfect solution when 1.5 - 2.5 inches of raised height is required. This strengthens the integrity of an existing leaf spring pack, which is helpful when trying to renew the spring due to age and heavy loads.

you need to remove tires and jack up the rear end of vehicle, safety first. Disconnect E- brake cable from both sides. Remove u-bolts from one side and just loosen the u-bolts on the other side. The side you removed the u-bolts from you will need to use two C-clamps and tighten down to compress the leaf spring before you remove the center bolt nut. Lower this side of the axle, watch your brake fluid lines so you don't stretch them. Remove the center bolt. Release C=clamps. Grease the top ends of the add-a-leaf and place it in size decending order. Insert new center bolt. Compress leaf spring with C-clamps, if center bolt holes in leaf spring don't line up just move the axle forward or backwards as needed. The axle movement will shift the geometry of the leaf spring holes. Put nut on center bolt and tighten while using the C=clamps to compress the leaf spring. You don't want to use the center bolt to tighten the leaf spring pack. Torque to specs. Install u-bolts just enough to hold axle in place then do the other side as you did first side then tighten everything to specs. This added 2" to the rear of my truck. I used the Pro Comp leveling kit #65200 for the front, also a great, easy to install product.
Bought the second one because the first one fit one of our Explorers great! Over 2 inches lift was recovered on the sagging rear springs! Great devices, has two sets of spring screws with nuts, and is giving us good service!
I recommend these to all my friends! Install took us about 1.5 hours total... We did break one small cheap Chinese C Clamp... so, be careful out there, and use strong c clamps to hold springs!
