Format: Hardcover
This is perhaps the best survey of the original masters of early science-fiction. It is unfortunate that the author was a master of contention. This is particularly seen in the chapter on M. P. Shiel, which is essentially a hatchet job provoked by Shiel's supposed anti-Semitism and his very real racism.
