Austin is rapidly becoming the star writer of the Mpreg genre and he manages to create stories that are never repetitious – always taking a new slant on the alpha/Omega Mpreg concept. This new book is his finest yet as he molds his characters in such a credible way that the entire concept behind his story (an exploration of the increasing interest in male pregnancy possibilities) is not accessible to readers new to the idea, but also an immensely well-written novel about relationships and family.
According to the fine synopsis, ’The world is about to change forever. Reagan is a nature-obsessed astrology student struggling to make ends meet when loans and scholarships aren't enough. Desperate for money, he signs up for a medical trial that will pay its participants weekly for their involvement and all he must do is take a mystery pill every day. He meets Cosmos at the introduction seminar, a dashing bartender with a mild manner who catches his attention from the very beginning. However, there's more at stake with the medical trial than a budding romance. The pills Reagan is taking have activated something buried deep inside him – he is an omega, capable of becoming pregnant, and Cosmos is his alpha. Neither man believes the truth until Reagan's pregnancy test comes back positive, exactly as the doctor in charge of the medical trial wanted. A new era is arriving, where men carrying children will become the new norm instead of a rarity. Reagan is the first of many more to come, especially once word starts getting out about what has happened. Amid all the chaos, Reagan must come to terms with his new place in the world: a father.’
Austin has his character development down pat and with his natural delivery, he has us from the start. A very fine novel from Austin Bates. Grady Harp, July 17
Reagan is a student at the university of Michigan & Cosmos a chemist who uses his skills as a mixologist at a restaurant both separately attend a seminar that gives them information about men that could have their own children.
Reagan spots Cosmos at the seminar who also does his own spotting of Reagan.
When Reagan walks into the restaurant Cosmos works at interest in one another sparks into a phone number left for Cosmos to call.
Failing to call Reagan, doesn't over think it until he runs into the guy at the research facility once again. With the Sparks once again flamed they start dating one another. Little known to them they are both now part of a bigger secret to change history and themselves. Will they survive this test with one another or will it tear them apart.
To me the story had a slow start but got moving by the 3rd chapter. The sex scenes were not the usual Aiden Bates type which are hot & engulfing. I didn't feel drawn in to the story but I did want to see where it lead. The ending was abrupt to me & could of used an epilogue.

Austin Bates has created a new take on the idea of the Mpreg story, and I think this new twist was interesting and fun to read! I found myself really drawn into the story and invested in these characters and what they were going through.
Reagan and Cosmos are two very like-able, although quirky in there own ways characters, who meet at a seminar for a medical trial. Both men are there looking for a little extra money but what ends up happening is incredibly life changing for both men. They feel an instant connection to each other and quickly start building a relationship, one that is strong and deep for both men, and more than they ever expected. When Reagan learns the truth about the pills he is taking, he doesn't believe it first and he and Cosmos try to write it off as a crazy doctor experimenting but with a baby on the way it all becomes very real, and very scary. Together, Cosmos and Reagan have a lot to work out but they are determined to do it together.
Overall this was an interesting and intriguing read, exploring the idea of alpha and omega and it growing and becoming public. I really liked the connection and chemistry between Reagan and Cosmos, it definitely was well developed in terms of their alpha/omega relationship. I loved seeing these two fall in love and learn about their new journey together and I felt for them in the struggles. Definitely a fun read from Austin Bates!
