Ideas to Simplify Your Life and Embrace Your Space with Expo
Using a whiteboard and Expo markers to make a family chore board is the simple solution to getting everyone (spouses included!) to pitch in without pitching a fit. You can let go of round-the-clock reminders, as "I forgot" is no longer a valid excuse.
Head of the Class
Give kids a whiteboard and Expo Washable markers to allow them to keep learning long after the school day is over. Take a fifteen-minute recess out of your day to be a student in their pretend classroom as they "teach" you their latest lesson. They'll get some fun study time and you'll always get a gold star for attendance.
The List Goes On
Multiple mouths to feed mean you're constantly catering to the likes and dislikes of others. Keep up with their varying tastes by putting an Expo board on the fridge so everyone can request their favorite fare. They'll remain satisfied and you'll be happy to never hear "There's nothing for me to eat" ever again.
Root for the Home Team
Grab some Expo markers in the team colors and go wild on the car windows. It's a fun family activity to show your support and comes off when the game is over. Which is especially nice if someone wasn't quite as victorious as they'd hoped.
Use Expo markers to label your plastic containers. If they're clear, taping a small piece of paper on the opposite side will keep your label legible. And you can change your mind with a flick of the wrist.
Use Expo markers on glass trays to write out the names of specialty hors'devours or wine and cheese pairings. You can also write on small decorative tiles for reusable place settings or buffet labels. Your guests will be thrilled when the only thing they have to ask is "More wine please?"

I am now storing the markers upside-down, and it has improved the quality of most of them, most notable the orange marker.
I'm keeping my original review intact for posterity. It appears unaltered below.
I use whiteboards a lot. In fact, my co-workers know that I can hardly explain anything without whipping out a few dry-erase markers and making a quick diagram. I'm also a big fan of using various different colored markers when whiteboarding complex ideas.
For a long time I've felt constrained by the traditional four marker colors that seem omnipresent in the workplace: blue, red, green and black. Four colors simply isn't enough for big ideas! When my wife bought me this 12-pack of markers, I didn't hesitate to crack them open and put them to good use.
Sadly, I was somewhat disappointed in the results. My complaint is two-fold: First, the quality of the markers varies from color to color; some markers make bold, crisp lines while other yield faint and washed-out scribbles. Second, the variety of colors is somewhat lacking.
Let's break it down by color. I believe it's possible to break them down into three groups of four markers, which I'll review below:
This 12-pack includes the traditional red, blue, green, and black, of course. These tried and true markers do not disappoint, making clean, crisp lines that can be easily read.Read more ›
I especially like these because they are low-odor (the regular ones give me a headache) and the chisel tip allows me to write a lot in a small space, while still making things easy to see. These are my favorite markers so far, and at a very fair price, too. So far, they seem very durable and long-lasting.
One caution - as the package states, markers should be stored horizontally. Get these!
They are GREAT! Just a word of caution, these are hard to get out of couch or other living room furniture material; use on and/or near washable surfaces.
Many have written that these markers do NOT come out of clothing or furniture. In fact, they will. Use alcohol and rub it into the places where the marker spot is. This works on clothing and on couches. Our daughter ALSO has Dyslexia and does better with her spelling and coding of her words on the couch. This is how we remove any marks that inadvertently made their way to the couch. Simply apply a bit of alcohol to the place where the marker spot is, wipe with a rag and buff with a cotton ball. The color comes out. I have done the same with clothing as well.
I bought these on Amazon as they are cheaper here than in a store. Further, we use dry erase every single day at home and at school. This is a great buy. Mine also didn't come with yellow but that is OK- yellow isn't a color I use for teaching anyway as it is both hard to see and is not good for those with reading issues- blues, purples, greens- those are better with lighter tones for coding. I bought a yellow at the dollar store but for me.Read more ›
