I bought it right away and read in one day. It has very easy reading style, with some lyric emotional stories.
So, after completing, I have partially wished that it was never written. The reason: I am actively using some ideas described in this book to be really effective and a few extra. It would be nice to keep it as trade secret :).
I come up to those by observing my own results during my career, and trying to change and see new outcome. I have talked about the ideas described in this book for years with coworkers/friends. Such conversations were the reason why I got the reading suggestion. Most of the ideas receptions were polite label: "Unorthodox outlier that do not understand what he is talking about". Only a few people agreed to consider anything different or confirm that they are partially agree. Majority stack with conventional belief that "Hardworking is long hours, and long hours is hard working, and nothing else really matter". Even simple reasoning to consider my personal results did not work. So now I have a book that confirming some of my personal observation to the huge extend, and it is also include bunch of handy references.
Do not be mistaken: The book is not career advice while related, it is about how to be efficient and effective in your main activities, and one of the important elements for overall success.
Out of many suggestions I would like to drop an additional point. Person must replace work related thinking with the others during "off hours", if knowledge worker is professional activity. It is actually very hard to avoid thinking about your challenges. However 24/7 grinding shortens the vision and reduces options drastically.
I wish to the author good luck and success on studying such important subject.
