This book could be described as being "ripped from today's headlines" to quote a famous TV series. After reading the other books in this series, Diana and Peter feel like personal friends, as the author develops the characters so well and draws you into their stories that they become real to you.
In this book, Diana and Peter are paired together on an anti-terrorism task force. As the pair works to prevent a terrorist attack onn a playoff hockey game in Canada, other story lines are developed, including those of the terrorists and also a man taking his son, who carries the hockey players' cards with him, to the game.
More than any of the previous Diana books, we get a look into Diana and Peter's pasts and what makes them who they are. Some of the questions about them and about the deaths of Diana's parents are answered and their relationship is able to move forward.
I love this series and highly recommend it to anyone who loves reading good mystery books. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and anxiously waiting for the next installment!!!
After working together for Vancouver Police Department on several cases, Diana and Peter are paired together on an anti-terrorism task force.
