I received a box of these K-cups as a gift from Green Mountain when I bought some other products, but after brewing and tasting the first one I poured the rest of the drink down the drain. My husband did not like it, either, so we threw away the rest of the box.
Ingredients include: sugar, alkalized cocoa powder, cream (hydrogenated coconut oil, glucose syrup, sodium caseinate [from milk], sodium polyphosphate, dipotassium phosphate, sodium stearoly-2-lactate, silicon dioxide), maltodexrin, salt, natural and artificial flavor, silicon dioxide, sucralose.
Sounds yummy, yes? I'm not a chemist or nutritionist, but I think there are at least four sweeteners in this product (sugar, glucose syrup, maltodextrin, sucralose) and ... sand. Yes, sand. That's the silicon dioxide, which makes the product free-flowing.
Add to this the fact that the hot chocolate mixes never seem to work well with my Keurig (I think the water passes through too fast and does not have time to dissolve the powder), and there's no reason to buy this product.
Edit: I forgot to add that this is an expensive product, too and certainly not worth the asking price. It's priced as a gourmet product but the ingredients are cheap chemicals. For more than a dollar a cup I want something with better flavor and less chemicals.
