I love her style. She has her own way of confidently expressing her personal memory and knowledge of each flower. Each stands alone but with Livia Cetti, the sum of her work is greater than its parts. I love the usage of colors, so vibrant and bold. And her charm peony is my favorite depiction of peonies, even among the most realistic crepe ones.
This second book has plenty of flowers. My favorites are the charm peony, bearded iris and daffodils. Expect more multi-headed stems in this book like the hydrangea!
If your preference is hyper realism, and you have an attachment to certain plants, you might be disappointed by certain projects. My friend who was looking over my shoulder, "That's not a [enter specimen]'s leaf!"
I love her leaves. I think her treatment and method of them bring cohesion to her bouquets and arrangements.
She also primarily uses tissue paper. Her book shows you how to paint and bleach them. Tissue paper does lend a lovely transparency when combined with the bleach dye effect, which heightens realism. They do not look like tissue paper when assembled.
A wonderful addition to anyone's paper flower bookshelf.
