The battery gave me two hours of power for my T-61 Thinkpad, which isn't great, but considering I had 5 minutes max from my previous battery it was something without having to pay $80 for a factory-conditioned one. However, it doesn't fit perfectly in the battery slot so if I shift my laptop even slightly, the battery will lose it's connection to the laptop the computer loses power and shuts down immediately. I've lost quite a bit of work as a result of this issue. Still, it works...just be careful if you move it around too much.

Fits better than original ThinkPad battery

My original T60 battery was holding just enough charge for 10 minutes so I started looking for a replacement. Lenovo does not sell batteries for old laptops so the only choice is fleabay or Anker. Anker won by all counts. There is warranty on the battery, reliable feedback for other buyers and free shipping.

This battery matches size and capacity to what Lenovo calls "extended battery". It extends from the back of the laptop. The way it fits is even better than original. It does not wiggle at all.

It is a great choice for owners of old Thinkpads that are compatible with it. I wish Anker was making more models so I can buy replacement batterry for Thinkpad T410s.

Works at quarter the price of OEM

Bought this for use with my ThinkPad T61p 15.4" Widescreen.

Arrived quickly and works with no issues.
Same physical size as the OME extended life batteries from Lenovo. No issues with fit and can still dock.
Have cycled the battery a few times now and get around 2-3 hours of usage with wi-fi on and constant internet usage.

With the OEM batteries only lasting about 2 years each, these are still cheaper if they need to be replaced annually. Only time will tell how long this battery will hold up. Although, with the 18 month warranty I dont think I have much to worry about.

Edit 11/2013:
I did run into an issue with my batter signalling low battery and causing the computer to hibernate during an unplug even when per windows it was 100% charged. I called the number for tech support, explained my issue, and after giving them my order number they shipped my a replacement battery and provided a return label for the old one. I am happy with the level of service and would buy another battery from them when this one hits end of life.

This battery has extended my time off the power pack to 4 hours from just less than 1 with the old battery. The old battery only lasted about 2 hours when it was new. It only takes just slightly longer to charge than the older battery so that is not an issue and since I do not use a docking station the increased size of the battery to the rear of the computer is not an issue.

I will buy future batteries from Anker as they were also very concerned that I was pleased and made sure that I was happy with follow up communications from their customer satisfaction department.

I would suggest to all my friends and family that they buy their replacement batteries from Anker. Amazon should be proud to have them as a vendor.

This is really a good battery for my SL400! I placed the order on Tuesday and it arrived on Friday. What a fast transit! Then, let's come to the quality. So far, it has done really good job. Before that, I mean for my old battery, if I want to use the internet, simply like viewing the websites or do some searching, well after 40 minutes, the warning for low battery would come up... So, it is impossible for me to take my laptop where there is no electricy supply... Then, can you still call it a LAPTOP??? But now, it's never a problem at all! And usually, after charging, it says there are 6-8 hours left for use in the lower left corner of the screen(my os is Windows XP...). I just don't have to worry about the battery at all now. Besides, it doesn't take long to have the battery fully charged, which is quite descent.

I just want to say that at such a price, you can't buy a better one. It won't dissappoint you!

Highly recommneded replacement battery for our two old ThinkPad T61p Laptops

We purchased two of these for our old, ThinkPad T61p laptops. One of them had an issue with the spring latch that keeps the battery in the battery bay. The item was replaced quickly and the customer service was excellent. We've been using the batteries for several weeks and they work well. Great for the price.

The only problem we encountered is that we get a nag warning from our Lenovo ThinkVantage Power Manager software because the battery isn't OEM. However, this warning is in the form of a little back triangle in the status bar, so it's easy to ignore.

Got this to replace the battery in my older Lenovo. The battery lasts longer than the original one ever did, but Lenovo has built into their software annoying warning signs to inform me that it's not a Lenovo battery! Had to google a solution and jump through a few hoops to get (most of) the warning messages to go away.

The lower price and better endurance is worth the inconvenience of figuring out how to get rid of Lenovo's battery error messages. (Why do the manufacturers feel they have to annoy their customers? My old Dell did the same thing.)

Anker 9 cell battery for T60 Thinkpad

I have bought two of these batteries. I have four old T60 Thinkpads that all run Linux Mint 13. These batteries arrive quickly and WORK. On the T60 Thinkpad, you can get over four hours of browsing the net and downloading. If you switch back to Windows 7, you will get closer to five hours. The only reason I keep Windows around is to watch Netflix. Just buy the battery and get on with living. The T60 thinks it is an original Lenovo product. BTW, old Thinkpads seem to just run any Linux distribution right out of the box!
