For once, this BMG Special Products offering is NOT the same old "bait and switch" scheme of re-packaging previously released material on the unaware consumer (see other Extended Versions of Tesla, Deep Purple, Yes, etc.)

When I first saw this at my local Wherehouse Music store, I figured it was just an edited version of Cinderella's "Live at the Key Club" cd from 1999. But, unlike other Extended Versions that simply state "Recorded Live" below the track listing, this one actually states "Recorded Live at Mohegan Sun: Uncasville, Connecticut on July 21, 2005".

Obviously, this was recorded during their very successful Summer Tour last year. I have read a number of reviews of the band's other live offerings that state Cinderella is a great live act and to not miss seeing them in concert. Maybe some people that actually saw this show can comment in the near future.

As far as sound quality goes, this cd is not bad. The vocals are a little flat, but over-all good. Ten songs in all, clocks in at 52:00 minutes total. It's also priced right! Only $7 and most retail outlets. You just can't go wrong. Let's let Cinderella know that there are thousands of fans out there wanting New material! Pick this up and add it to your collection.

I saw these guys 2 times over the years (shoulda been 3, but that's another story)....the first time was back in 2000 or 2001 in NH. And the second time in 2007 or '08 in MA. Musically I will say these guys play tight the sound is great. Lyrically poor Tom is getting old and so are his chops. He should stick to "unplugged" versions of his songs or maybe sing without the rasp. Ever here him talk versus sing? Lucky for him he made a career and hopefully milked all he could get outta that voice. It's too bad but his days are numbered (vocally that is). It's a wonder why he didn't have more surgeries than he did on those vocal cords....anyway....enough pf my soapbox. If yer a fan, find an older pre-2005 LIVE CD, it'll be worth it (find the bootleg from Japan 1990). Back in the 90's Tom could still sing. Man this band is definately different from the rest of glam 80's-90's rock bands. In fact, in my personal opinion is "Still Climbing" is by far one are their best if not their best album made, to bad no live music from that CD out there, and too bad the GdDmn! music industry never realized it, "GRUNDGE MUSIC" took over...F_k that garbage, there was only a few (3 or less) bands that were any good from the grundge era, but bands like Cinerella, Poison, Ratt, Motley, and the Guns (both Roses and LA) to name a few....these bands were TRUE ROCK 'N ROLL!!! So go find that Japan bootleg, buy it, and crank it you won't be disappointed.

This CD is a very accurate snapshot of Cinderella on the Rock Never Stops Tour in 2005. The band is tighter and in my opinion the sound is better overall than "Live at the Key Club" as live albums go. There are a few tunes from that year's setlist that are my faves that didn't make the cut, but overall a very good CD. If you saw the 2005 tour this is a must-have souvenir (and a lot cheaper than the $35 t-shirts!) If you missed it - shame on you... but, it's a great way to hear what you missed!

I must start by saying I am a huge Cinderella fan. Their first two albums were excellent, Heartbreak Station and Still Climbing had some great songs.( along with some misses. ) So any live album with from the guys is gonna have a can't miss colllection of tunes. The recording on this album is top drawer, and the instrumental playing is close to flawless. Cinderella were always great musicians and this hasn't changed. The only problem with this album is Keifers singing. It is unfortunately apparent that the voice is so shot that every word he sings in his "signature screech" is labored and and in a lower key than the original. I love the songs but this fact makes it hard to listen to them. Every line is followed by a strange grunt, like he's slowly pushing a boulder up a hill. In the middle of "Night Songs" Tom performs this long scream for no apparrent reason and then goes silent for a worrisome minute. If I hadn't just seen them live and known it was part of the show, I would have thought his larnyx fell out. I would recommend "Live at the Key Club" over this album. His vocals are better and there are a few more songs than on this one. Cinderella rules, but this cd is tough to listen to.
