Now we have both RGB cables for the power unit - this PSU cable, and previous we got a GPU power cable. This one can only be utilized as an extension since it is 8.725" (222mm) long. But that works perfect as you use the PSU cable supplied by the PSU company and then place this between it and the motherboard creating the most pleasing arch you prefer. You then plug the other wire on the PSU cable into your RGB port on the MB - there are a couple cables provided so it should be compatible with most manufacturer's MBs. We use Gigabyte and it hooked right up with the 4 pin (missing one) connector. We are not into the flashing RGB shows but with the Gigabyte Bios you can set most themes up easily. A interesting and fun addition to any build!

all the bad reviews for this product saying that the cable fried their motherboards could have easily been avoided. the rgb part easily comes off of the provided 24 pin cable and can easily be attached to your existing 24 pin cable. in fact it makes the install process even easier not having to unplug your motherboard at all. Colors look good and bright.
