Saved a tree
We have always used wood cutting boards, but they dry out and IMO, they never seem to get fully clean. So we ordered bamboo this time. I like the fact that this is a 'green' board, and no trees were cut down to make it. It's very attractive, and it's easier on our knives, especially the ceramic ones. It's easy to clean, just use some dish soap and warm water, and voila(!), it's clean and hygenic. This is a nice addition to our new kitchen, and looks nice on the countertop.
