Bootstrap Farmer's Extra Strength 1020 Seedling Tray
Working on our own farm we understand that a farm is NOT a place for fragile objects. We were tired of wasting time and money filling the landfills with the brittle and flimsy trays available online and in the big box stores.
We manufactured these extra durable trays for our own farm to be able to use for many years. These seedling trays were built with thicker material than any propagation tray we have used before. We wanted a tray to carry more weight and withstand the typical abuse you can find in any growing environment.
These trays were originally made to solve a problem we faced every day. We only began selling these trays after we realized we can help other home and commercial growers save daily frustration and money.
We are a small family farm in Eastern NC where we grow our own produce for a farm-to-food truck concept. We grow lettuce, kale, chard, microgreens, tomatoes, peppers, onions, you name it. Our passion is providing our local community with healthy and sustainably grown food.

The dome is well thought out and nearly as sturdy as the tray. Initially, it seemed the dome wouldn't affix properly to the tray, but after some manipulation it snugged up just right for me. I need a small "gap" to allow for my thermometer, and this set provides. It might be an accident, but it's a welcome one.
The only thing I don't like much is the grip on the middle of the dome. I understand why it's there, but I like to slap my T5 right on top of the dome and the grip is in the way. I'll find a way to work around it as the alternative is a dome that collapses.
I don't expect to have to replace these anytime soon. You'd have to do something pretty crazy with them to tear them up. If I survive a meteor, but my trays don't, I'll buy these again.
Update: I am back for more trays!! This will make the 3rd time I've bought these trays because they are so good! I just can't believe how easy they have made my seed starting! I'm so glad someone created a product that is durable and causes way less waste than those flimsy others!
Just put enough water in the tank (from the top) for when plants are mature and its really sunny. Pour out any excess rainwater on other plants (fertilizer) if plants are very young. Put your shopping bag plants in an extra dry tray if needed in the morning after heavy rain if they are really soaked or they get mosquito wigglers. And keep the plants as wet as needed with these trays, every morning.
Voila! Beats mixing chemicals for hydroponics for me. Possibly not my original idea (?) but hey!, it'll work for you too! Eat healthy, grow squash, cucumbers and tomatoes!
