I wrote a scathing review of the pack of 4 of these, however the difference here is that the product is as advertised, in the others I ordered the stays are missing all of their etching (both front and back). I am reviewing these as well, with a picture, just to show that I have two different sets and this one is the finished product. I felt it only fair to review both. As for the items themselves...
They are actually decently thick, using the measuring ticks on one of the stays to measure the thickness of the other, and assuming those ticks are ~1mm, these stays are ~2mm thick. I have not yet needed to use the thread cutter, but it does catch on skin so be careful. Every bit of the Titanium is polished and shiny, so fingerprints stick like crazy. All of the edges are cut nice, very precise without being sharp. As for if they are really Ti? I'm not sure I'm not a Metallurgist, we are trusting the manufacturer that they are Ti. On their own, these I feel could be, however given my other experience with the x4 I question a little the composition of the product if out of the 6 I purchased 4 or ~66% are not even finished...one questions a little...That's why the deduction of one star here, while I do really like these, again these were going to be gifts at my wedding and needed them all to match.
