The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. The characters are well written and multidimensional. The author does a good job of summarizing the storyline from the first three books for new readers. The story keeps a steady pace throughout the book to keep this reader interested. It keeps you guessing what twists and turns will be revealed in the pages ahead. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading future books in the Kilenya Chronicles series.
I received a review copy of this story.
Wow, it's become even more difficult when the good guys can’t see what the bad guys are planning due to a potion. Jacob must have all of his magical abilities by now ? Jacob and the others are doing everything they can, for the final showdown. Humm, nothing seems to go the way you would expect! And the best part of this story is Jacob getting to know his Shiengol grandparents. The Key of Ayunli is found and its powers discovered.
Yoy needed more suspenseful, right ? The good guys win a major battle and end up with hope. It's rough at first, but their relationship grows beautifully amidst the adventures and battles of this story.
As in prior books, Andrea Pearson continues to develop Jacob, her main character. Here he learns more about his family, the identity of the Lorkon and what he's told is the last of his magical abilities. He's in a race to be ready in time before having to face Keitus and the other Lorkon. Adventure abounds as the story plot thickens - and enjoyment is pretty much guaranteed. A fun read.
