JACK PATTERSON is an award-winning writer and thriller author living in the Pacific Northwest. While growing up in a military family, he spent some of his formative years living with his family on the estate of an English baron and baroness. It was there that he developed his passion for good literature and an appreciation for football.
Upon returning to the United States, Jack entered the field of journalism where he won numerous writing awards and has written articles for many prestigious U.S. newspapers, including The New York Times. He later left journalism full-time to pursue writing books and now resides in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and three young children. He plans to write many more thrilling novels unless the CIA presses him into service to save the world.
"The Warren Omissions", a high-stakes thriller in which ex-CIA operative James Flynn uncovers who was behind the conspiracy to assassinate JFK before being pressed into service to stop another assassination and nuclear world war, is his latest novel.

Originally I already had 2 of these books but had not started reading them yet. I like to wait until I have a whole series before starting a series. Then I saw where all the books could be bought as a box set. Once I added up how much more it would cost me to buy the other books that I did not have, it would have cost me more than buying the whole set—so I did. And I am glad now that I got them all before starting to read them or I would have been very upset having to wait for each individual book to be published—you would not have wanted to stop reading after each one of them. The ending to each book made you want to know what happened next! Each ending was an event that was so dangerous and so suspenseful that unless you had the next book to read you would be filled with impatience and anxiety—at least that is the way I felt.
The series was all about what America could have been like if Germany had won WWII & defeated America—no freedom of speech, history that was re-written so no one knew what it was really like in America before Hitler took over, government control of the media, the elimination of anyone who did not agree with the government, etc. You get the idea. Grace the main character of the story, the American Fuhrer’s daughter, had no idea what the Nazi party was really like or even what her own father was really like. Until one day her eyes got opened for her by some hidden photos. Grace might have been raised to be a Nazi but her heart was not a Nazi—she could not accept what was happening to innocent people and especially by her own father. So she ran away with a trusted servant. From then on Grace was hunted by not only her father but by the Director of the Nazi party. She suffered one atrocity after another and witnessed the cruelty imposed on many others. She soon became a rebel and also the hope of the American people.
The whole story was full of suspense and made me anxious to get to the end to see how it was all going to end. I do have to say that about 10% of the time I did not like Grace but she made up for it in the last 98% of the story. The bad characters were such monsters that you loved to hate them. There was a touch of romance in the story but the story was not a story about romance. There was no profanity in the story or any sex scenes, which I appreciated. It just goes to show you that great stories can be written without those 2 things.
Society’s attitudes to the world’s imperfections are gradually and convincingly revealed as Gracie—a gracious protagonist whose intelligence won’t quite lead her to questions and betrayal until someone pushes her—follows a curiously childish clue through to its life-changing conclusion. While readers will easily guess what’s going on, what’s harder to guess is who’s behind it, how Gracie will escape, and what will she do then. Meanwhile our modern society is mirrored, darkly, giving this novel (and series) depth and meaning beyond the surface fiction.
Fast-paced, intriguing, nicely non-didactic, and offering plenty of food for thought, the Fuhrer’s Daughter is a series worth starting and, I’m sure, worth following through to its finish.
Disclosure: I won a copy and I offer my honest review.
The books have no swearing, gratuitous sex or graphic death scene's but still remains a good tale. For that reason I gave it five stars since I believe the intended audience is the precocious teenager and they do not need any more temptations from writers of lecherous books.

What about if the Nazis invaded America and ruled over it?
This is the background for this story. Head to the present and we meet the Fuhrer of the Americas and his family, a wife and daughter, Grace. This story revolves around Grace as you'd expect by its title.
Grace is a teenager who is soon to graduate and be received into society as an adult. On rehearsal eve she is stunned to discover the truth about her parents and herself.
Slow to take off but it soon simmers with tension leading to a thrilling conclusion.
I can't wait to start Episode 2.
