Author: Michelle McLoughley
4 unexpected stars
I've read more older men/younger women novels than i can count, the stories always more interesting than the next since the possibilities of the types of stories that will come out from the author's mind are so vast that it almost takes your breath away. So when i saw that an author had turned the tables and written a book about an older woman and younger man, i was absolutely enchanted by the idea, wanting to see just how Michelle McLoughley would bring her characters to life. Because let's face it, when you have a trophy wife that is bored out of her mind and needing some sort of entertainment to keep her busy and her ever so hot garden boy that is doing a wonderful job on the tasks that are given to him, things are about to start getting a little more interesting even if they don't want it. The only problem is that Ava is a trophy wife, never having married out of love, but more for the principle of being able to save her family home.
4.5 sexy dreams
The more time they spend together, the more the feelings between them get more real, more intense and especially deeper than they could have ever imagined. As much as the scenes between them could be hot as all heck, for some reason there always seemed to be missing something. Some depth maybe? Or maybe just the idea that there's more to this story than two individuals that are looking for something more than what they got with their lot in life. It's a short read that still made me curious to find out what Michelle McLoughley has to offer when it comes to full length novels, which is why i'll be looking into reading more from her in the future.

Reviewed by Kathleen, The Small Girl from A small girl, her man and her books
In this book the author does not disappoint yes Its a short read and yes it is super hot.... well rather filthy.... just my kind of book.
I love how Ava and Ridge are super different but yet no so much really when you strip away the basics and the money both are solid loving characters with hearts of gold.
Another element of the book that I loved was Ava relationship with her brother yes it was short and tragic but the way it's written just touches your heart on a deeper level.
I'm super impressed how the author is able to pack so much in give me so many emotions.
*Edit* When I first popped up my review we did not realise that I had read the incomplete version of this book now that I have read it I am changing my rating to a five as omg the heat the intensity damn it just has to get an extra star.
This book is heart melting pantie dropping yum.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review!
Ava had just lost her husband but she’s not grieving him. He was an SOB from the beginning and there was no love lost between them. She married him for one reason and that reason is now buried. She’s intrigued with the gardener’s helper that has been returning every summer, but he’s so much younger than her.
Ridge has wanted Ava since the first time he set eyes on her. But she’s been off limits for so many reasons, not the least of which is she’s married, unhappily, but married. When her husband dies he knows it’s time for him to make his claim. But what makes him think Ava will give him a second glance?
