About F.R. Jameson
F.R. Jameson was born in Wales, but now lives in London with his wife and young daughter. He writes both historical thrillers and supernatural thrillers.
His books are, at the moment, mostly sorted into two different - but complementary - series. The first, 'Screen Siren Noir', currently comprises of three novels: 'Diana Christmas', 'Eden St. Michel' and 'Alice Rackham'. All of which tell the stories of beautiful British film stars caught up in Noir tales of blackmail, obsession, scandal and death. He is currently working on both the fourth and fifth books in the series.
The second series is more disturbing and scary, and lives under the moniker: 'Ghostly Shadows'. There are four novellas published: 'Death at the Seaside', 'Certain Danger', 'Won't You Come and Save Me, Oh Soldier' and 'Call of the Mandrake'. Each book is its own disturbing piece of brilliant British horror.
He is claustrophobic and has a grave aversion to olives, but in real life is probably not as dark and twisted as his fiction would lead you to believe.
His blog - https://frjameson.com/ - is regularly updated with information about his writing, as well as film and book reviews. You can follow him @frjameson on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, and you can find him on Facebook.

Blog post**CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. COME BACK IN 2021 AND IT WILL LOOK MUCH BETTER!**
And I write horror and noir thrillers. I also used to keep this blog fairly up to date, but at the moment – with life, a small child and a busy writing schedule – I’m finding it harder and harder to keep on top of it. So for now, with a certain amount of regret, I am putting it on hiatus.

What excruciating tortures await them within Breakspear Hall?
Simone and her brother are con-artists. They target the rich and corrupt, making them pay for their crimes. One night, after pursuing a mark to a casino, Simone is attacked on the street. In the aftermath, the two siblings find themselves spirited towards Breakspear Hall. A gothic mansion whose master has tried everything to keep visitors out.
From her first glance of this dark, foreboding building, Simone knows it could spell doom for both of them…
Within the walls is a history of demonic rituals and human sacrifice. Yet, if the house welcomes you, it’s a home which can offer your greatest desires and ensure every darkest craving can be sated. Although as it does, it elicits a terrible price. One which will drain away your soul and leave you a broken husk.
However, it’s when you try to leave that it inflicts its most appalling punishment.
Trapped inside, Simone knows she has to save herself and her brother. But what can she possibly do against the unspeakable evil of Breakspear Hall?
A brand new haunted house novel you won’t be able to put down!

Avenging her secret could put a noose around both their necks…
Joe might be a stuntman, but still he’d never expect to end up in bed with a genuine movie star. However, that’s what happens the night he meets the ultra-glamorous, Eden St. Michel. Swiftly they’re the talk of the town. Their passion fast, intense and dangerous.
But Eden has scars from her past, both mental and physical. Joe needs to be her hero, although retribution won’t be easy. One misstep could mean the end of their careers and – maybe – their lives.
After a sudden moment of violence, Joe finds himself in deadly trouble. He may have the love of a good woman, yet it’s leading him to the gallows.
But what if the only way to save Eden is to make that ultimate sacrifice?

EXTRACT FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH F.R. JAMESON:
What inspired you to write Eden St. Michel?
I was fresh from writing ‘Diana Christmas’ and I wanted to write something in the same world, the same universe as it were. So I created these two characters – Eden and Joe – and started to write their noir story. I realised that they were too good together. There was a plot I had worked out in my mind, but it wasn’t going to work with the characters as they now appeared on the page, I couldn’t force them into it, and so I changed the plot. I reworked the plot around them. And as a result I didn’t write the book I meant to write, I wrote something so much better.
You mentioned ‘Diana Christmas’, this is a stand-alone novel though, isn’t it?
Very much so. But those who read every book will spot the connections between them. This is a shared universe and so certain characters reappear and certain locations are revisited. Each novel stands entirely on its own merits, but dedicated fans will see that they also come together to create a big ‘Screen Siren Noir’ tapestry!
How does it differ from what you’ve written before?
Well, this is more of a love story than anything I’ve ever written before. Okay, it’s a love story which has a man’s dead body on the front cover, so fairly clearly it’s not going to be all wine and roses. But nor are they two characters just obeying a plot. I think Romantic Suspense is what I’ve actually ended up with. These are two characters though who love each other, but when they love each other bad things tend to happen. And so the question is, can these two make it through their love affair unscathed?

What are those voices in her head? And why are they screaming at her?
It all started when she witnessed a car crash. A brutal smash which left a gorgeous young rock star dead. A devastating incident for Alice, but one which caused strange memories of childhood to flood back. Suddenly she could recall a sinister old house, a dead child in the woods and an other-worldly power lurking in the darkness.
An orphan who can barely remember her own mother, Alice grew up in care homes. The gothic mansion now in her mind surely wasn’t part of her existence. Nor does she recognise the little boy with the scuffed knees who stares at her with dark accusing eyes. Yet now she can’t stop picturing either.
Desperate to make sense of it all, Alice’s enquiries lead her to a hidden away clinic in the English countryside. However, within those walls are terrifying secrets which could upturn her whole life.
Secrets so much bigger than one woman.
As for Alice, her long buried truth could not only break apart her sanity, it might destroy the whole world…

“FR Jameson's characters come vividly to life in a highly enjoyable slice of British noir.”
“From the very first chapter I was sold. The descriptions and detail that Jameson used throughout this book made it very difficult for me to put it down.”
“This is a fabulous story. Full of great characters, and a plot that I really enjoyed. I like a story that can keep me guessing.”
“The author weaves seduction, blackmail, and cruelty throughout the story. If you are a fan of noir, the twists and turns are classic.”
“Diana Christmas truly is a thriller fit for the silver screen itself.”
“I couldn't put the book down. What more can I say? If you enjoy a suspenseful thriller I highly recommend this book.”
“I’d recommend it to anyone who likes noir, crime, or Hollywood biographies.”
“Diana Christmas written by F.R. Jameson could be a movie on TCM... This new book takes the reader into a time that most of us don't remember - it is gritty but vivid, sullen but snappy, and most of all just a good old fashioned mystery.”
“This is a fabulous read... Whilst I'm not normally a great fan of noir, I absolutely loved this novel!”
“This novel is written in classic form. It contains snappy dialogue, intriguing characters who find themselves in desperate situations, and climactic scenes. It’s original and will leave readers appreciating how this sort of writing panache can still be found in authors today.”

Emilia Ravens, elusive widow of a once famous author, was beautiful and mysterious. Ever since her husband’s hotel room suicide, she had avoided publicity, but finally a dogged young journalist had tracked her down. He was determined to hear her story.
Now, in a sweltering hotel room in Athens, the two of them face each other.
He wants her to spill the dreadful secrets of her husband’s life, but what she’s going to give him is a scoop too terrifying for words…
A brand new British horror tale perfect for all fans of James Herbert, H.P. Lovecraft, Dennis Wheatley and Hammer/Amicus films of the 1970s.
What are Ghostly Shadows?
They are that strange flicker you glimpse from the corner of your eye; that sound you’re certain you hear in the dark of night in an empty house; they’re the feeling of dread which races up and overwhelms you completely. Ghostly Shadows are all that’s scary, disturbing, creepy and unsettling. Every fear and anxiety bound together, nebulous in form, but completely inescapable.
For me, Ghostly Shadows are the connective tissue for all my writing. Every one of my novels, novellas and short stories – be they horror or noir – is joined together through these Ghostly Shadows. There are a thousand such tales lurking in my consciousness, and I intend to write them all.
The Widow Ravens is the third of the Ghostly Shadows shorts. A brand new horror anthology series. The first four Ghostly Shadows novellas: Death at the Seaside; Certain Danger; Won't You Come Save Me and Call of the Mandrake are available now. The other Ghostly Shadows Shorts: Foliage; The Strange Fate of Lord Bruton; Algernon Swafford - Private Investigator and Sacrifice at St. Nick's are also available.
