- good filtration against dust / pollen
- possibly reusable (but see problems with strips and size)
- easy breathing
- good seal
- excellent price
- masks in the box not individually packed
- may not fit a man with medium or large hat size!
- short straps may result in stretching and quick wear in people they fit
- straps poorly attached to mask (glue only) - will detach
I started using the cheap masks (99cents for five type) - not worth the saving. Then I upgraded to 3M 8210 Particulate Respirator N95, 20-Pack, good but hard to breathe through. It was tight and difficult to adjust around my nose (where stream escape and fog my glasses). Then I discovered 3M Particulate Sanding N95 Respirator with Valve, 10-Pack (8511). Better, more expensive, but still does not fit well. Nevertheless, I used this for several years.
For my last batch, I decided to try this Fastcap mask. Conclusion - this is a keeper. The rubber bands are mild but enough to keep the mask in place. Nose portion is fitted with a large foam strip, making that part easy to fit. Valve is definitely working because I do not notice any resistance. In all, it is the most comfortable and functional dusk mask I ever had. I usually wear each mask 5 to 10 times (about 2 months of weekend use). the outside would turn grey, but the inside stay clean. I am very satisfied.
Note: I think this mask fits me better because it is "slightly" smaller than the 3M ones. So result may varies ...
One mask lasts me two weeks or so (I don't wear it all day long but sporadically) and my allergy problems are all but gone. Well worth the extra cost over the basic "El cheapo" dust masks.

Nice if the air plug on the front, was on the side, like the old ones were. That way you can fold them and put them in your tool box or pocket.Published 18 months ago by mark Genin
This is a great little, cheap dust mask. Your glasses won't fog up. I've seen & used versions of this same mask that have the exhale port on the side of the mask - not in the... Read morePublished on April 11, 2014 by Peter Mcloughlin
