The Felco 231’s are professional grade equipment and the last loppers this old man will own. I use them on most anything but especially maintaining Florida live oak limbs and my Crepe Myrtle, all dense wood. Three inch dry palm limbs merely surrender at the sight of these. I do use a smaller pair of budget Corona’s for the small stuff, but they don’t cut the oak like the effortless Felco 231’s. Glad I discovered these, happy to own them. Good stuff.

These loppers are worth every penny, especially if you have limited strength. I was able to cut. 2.5” sapling with very little effort. Felco products are meant to last, and the company offers replacement parts. If you want an investment piece that will last years and years and will take much of the effort out of the pruning chore, then these are for you. I plan to replace all of my implements with Felco.

One of a number of Felco models which do slightly different things, so choose carefully. I chose the Felco 231 for my purposes and i have not been disappointed. I have bought three other manufacturers models in my lifetime and none of them have had the quality and simplicity of build as this Felco product. A pleasure to use when needed.

I have been so taken with my Felco FM22 bypass loppers that I have now purchased these 231 anvil loppers. These are so much lighter than the FM22's as the handles are tubular rather than solid-forged aluminum but they continue the Felco tradition of superb cutting and engineering. As these are anvil cutters they are so much better at cutting dead wood and they do so with absolute precision and accuracy. These really are lovely to use and, like the FM22's, their initial purchase price is long forgotten as they do exactly as designed and claimed. Fantastic bit of kit.

Exceptional tool that is a pleasure to use. Expensive but as soon as I picked it up I could see that it is well built - no plastic components, very high quality build that looks like it will last for ever.
Lovely to use, very lightweight and eats blackthorn tree branches like they're twigs.

I chose this manufacturer as I my Felco secateurs are over thirty years old, have always worked well and have only needed sharpened once. These loppers are not cheap but are made from quality metal and cut very well.
