I got these because Trader Joe's mini raviolis are no longer available in the stores (and I loved them). These are a great price by comparison to other dry raviolis available for purchase.

I read the reviews first, and expected to have to cook them forever and a day in order to get the middle cheese lump soft enough to serve. Not so.

They come in a large plastic bag with no cooking instructions. The TJ mini raviolis had a 16-18 minute cooking time. These are about 50% larger in size and they were done, done, done after 10 - 12 minutes of boiling...and we boiled 8 cups in a 10 quart pot.

The flavor was nice (we added pesto as our "topping") and the leftovers held up very well during the next few days. They were so good, a tweenage granddaughter came over the next day just to have them for breakfast (one minute reheated in the microwave).

So happy to have these, hope they are still available to buy when I finish this 11 lb bag!

This Ravioli has a Parmesan flavor as opposed to a Ricotta flavor. The cheese is an orangish color which freaked me out, but I think it's supposed to be like that (judging by a review of a similar product). -My product was six months away from the sell by date. Regardless I'm not a fan of the flavor so I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this product. If you do buy this product I would recommend cooking it, then letting it sit in the refrigerator overnight in sauce as to completely soften up the cheese. Update -I would also recommend using this product with a cream/cheese sauce as to aid its strange cheese flavor -this product was much more palatable this way, so much so that I would *maybe* buy it again.

We immediately rebagged this product into smaller family sized meals. It's a hardy ravioli and does take awhile to soften, but it's nice to have around to make work lunches or meals. Lotsa food for the price. Try it with pesto, or white sauce, or red sauce. You'll have to change up the sauces or the fam will say 'oh, it's the ravioli again'.

Must soak overnight in water, otherwise you have yo boil for 20+ minutes. The cheese filling is what seems to be the hardest to cook.
