lost a lot of it's fun

I like much about F1 2013, however, since F1 2012 I like less of it. Unless i am missing something, in F1 2011 you could practice, qualify, and then race a track, changing setups to get you the best qualifying position. The last two versions took this out, and you just race without the ability to make the minor adjustments to (at least in my mind) make your car better. Love the DRS and KERS, but I miss the whole F1 race weekend. The realism is very good, as I have driven COTA at high speed, and following the lines I personally drove improved my gaming times.

The game is what I expected. As with many games that have previous releases, the publisher has changed the game play and characteristics. Some of those changes were for the better and others were not. I prefer racing sims over arcade racing, F1 2013 is a good racing sim that be improved in some areas as a racing sim, but as an arcade racing game It is fantastic. Now if Codemaster s would produce a Lemans /GT Sportscar racing game, I would be the first to pre-purchase it.

I liked this game. I upgraded and purchased the optional add-on 1980's and 1990's era classic cars and tracks. I feel it was worth the expense as these old school cars are a blast to drive. The sounds from the V-10 era cars are incredible! With these add-ons you can also drive the older cars on todays tracks which is way cool.

Issue is Level of Difficulty

Great series but the 2013 level of difficulty for a non-seasoned, non-avid game player, is too hard and, is much higher than F1 2012.

Considering multiple levels of game difficulty, this 2013 edition does not allow for casual play even at the lowest difficulty level.

I will be gifting this to a seasoned gamer.
