Fitivities is the award-winning sidekick to Skillastics, a revolutionary series of fitness & sport games enjoyed by over 10 million students in more than 25,000 educational setting nationwide! Great to play alone or with friends, Fitivities is a burst of fun and fitness that will be every parent’s hidden exercise secret in a game’s disguise! Unlike most games that require you to move on a mat or not move at all, Fitivities allows you be active without even noticing it! Each individual or team competes against each other by completing the number of repetitions, which are determined by the spin of the arrow. The first team that travels completely around the mat, landing on and completing the first exercise past their shoe starting spot, wins the game! Modifications included for all ages and abilities.

The game basically consists of a large game board, think the size of a small table. 4 dice, 4 pawns (shoes) and 4 spinners. The instructions include "modified" exercises if you can't do the actual exercise.
Game play goes like this: you put the game board in the middle of the area you are playing. Every team puts their pawn down on their start spot. One player rolls the dice and moves the pawn the corresponding spaces. The spaces have the exercises you are to do. That person then goes back to their team...and tells them what exercise they all have to do. They spin the spinner, which tells them how many of the exercises they must do. You can also spin a "return to start" or go back two spaces, etc. then, you do the exercises and when everyone on the team completes them, the next person on the team runs to the game board and rolls the dice. Moves pawn, etc etc etc. the first team that makes it around the game board first, wins.
I am out of shape, and very overweight. But, my 4 year old and I were able to win the first round against my husband and boys. We lost the next 2 rounds, but still got a great little workout and we had so much fun doing it! We were laughing a lot and it was nice to see my children really enjoying exercising. They were begging to play more, but it was way past bedtime. They even played themselves, with no sort of order as I was finishing up cookies.
If you have any doubts, don't. It is a game that is well worth a spot in your game closet! A definite new favorite in our home! Since we homeschool, this is a great way for my kids to get some gym class in, too.
