I had a specification issue, and the Compulab folk were just great! I posted my question and they replied right away (on a Sunday no less) and totally took care of my issue. Great customer service there.
I've left it on all day every day since I got it, just power-cycling it from time to time to test things, and the case stays warm. If you really stress it running a whole bunch of things at once (Play a movie, download a large file, and run a system monitor), it gets a goodly bit warmer, but never so hot you can't touch it or anything like that. Video playback is smooth with good audio. HTML5 YouTube works good (MintBox comes with Flash installed, but I removed it.).
ISSUES that I had: When I first powered it up, the icons on the home screen panel did not work; the reason was that the Edit Mode had been left on in the panel editor (Left-click on panel, click Modify Panel, Panel Edit Mode switch should be 0 not 1). Also, the MicroSD card slot worked fine, but I had to push the card in with the edge of a small screwdriver to get it to click into place, the connectors were too far in.
All-in-all, this is the way that desktop computers should be, totally silent, tiny size, work with my wireless mouse and keyboard with a dongle, and run a full version of the OS. It even comes with Synaptic Package Manager pre-installed. I recommend this computer.
Love the design though. Tiny and quiet, with good connectivity.
EDIT: Switching to a lighter desktop environment (XFCE, MATE, etc.) or wm (fluxbox, icewm, etc) will vastly improve the performance of the machine. I have updated my review to four stars only, because I find it odd that the machine defaults to a desktop environment (cinnamon) that it can hardly keep up with.
If you live in the terminal, then this is not a bad thing. If you are looking for a more something that can support a modern desktop environment, I would look to other products.
I'm about to upgrade to a more powerful server and repurpose this to springboard my next project.
With the 8GB of ram, it handles running Netflix on one monitor, and keep several Chrome browser windows open.

It is getting hotter when in use, it must be placed away from plastic surfaces.
