It feels like a great sturdy box, but this is twice now that I will have to return it. Both of them arrived covered in mold. It’s white and all over. When I wipe it off it shows up on the towel green so it’s definitely mold. Very disappointing.

Update 12-26-20
The Fortem company contacted me stating they wanted to fix this issue and would send me a new organizer directly. The package never arrived and the company started someone on my house must have it. The provided a delivery date which my security camera system shows no delivery the date or any date near that time. I was hopeful and continue to be disappointed.

I was so happy with this when it came! It's the perfect size for the trunk space in my Subaru Outback, it's super durable and the bottom spacers make it feel extra sturdy. I'm a crazy person when it comes to clutter in my storage area, so this has really been a great solution. It fits all of my emergency gear, changes of clothes and the outside mesh pockets are great for my bike tools. I'm so happy with it I'm actually ordering a second for my groceries! Would definitely recomend to anyone with a lot to organize!

Finally - an organizer that stands on its own

I'm on my third SUV now, and this is the first time in 25 years that I found an organizer for the back that works. Most collapsible organizers are mainly good at one thing - collapsing. This one has stiff inserts that keep it standing empty or full. This version is quite large, but I appreciate the extra space because it's perfect for holding all those plastic supermarket bags that otherwise spill all their contents on the trip home.

Possibly 4.5 stars though because the straps that let you secure the bag to the hooks in the back are too long for my car. Even though they don't keep the container as close to the sides as I'd like, the straps do keep the bag from tipping over to rolling around.

I have tried a couple trunk organizers and this is a very good one. The construction is solid. The walls stand up. The mesh side pockets are better than most companies. All in all a great product. But there are a couple of issues. First, the "non-slip bottom strips do not work for my driving conditions. I live in a place with lots of curves in the streets. I drive a Lexus IS series and I like to take the corners aggressively (of course within the speed limits ;-). This product, even when fully loaded, slides around the trunk which, IMO, is no bueno. I tried it directly on the trunk floor and with a plush carpet liner with the same results. This would not be a big deal if the tie down straps were not ridiculously long. Even at their shortest length they were 2x the length to be effective.
I will grant Fortem the fact they have excellent customer service. I reached out to the company with my issue and they promptly sent me some bungee cords which were also too long, but at least manageable. I would have given 3 stars if it were not for the fact that the product construction is so great.

Amazing organizer - ignore the bad reviews

I had an organizer before this. I can't BELIEVE how much better this one is. The previous one I bought was highly rated on Amazon but ended up being terrible. It couldn't stand up on it's own and was a literal flop. Everything was flimsy and it was obviously cheaply made. So I can confidently say that this a great organizer.

Let me address some of the poor reviews:
-Mold - mine contained exactly zero mold and was very clean and dry. Maybe the mold only affected a small batch? Regardless, those reviews are from a long time ago so I'm sure the issue was long since corrected. I actually read a reviewer from a couple weeks ago that gave 2 stars based off other old reviews mentioning the mold issue, BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN GET THE ORGANIZER.
-Smell - this had basically no smell. I'm very sensitive to smell and was actually hoping for a slight new-thing smell, but this organizer had none.
-Slides around - it doesn't slide around if you strap it in. I kind of doubt it would slide around that much even if I didn't strap it in. Depends on what material your trunk is made of.

All in all, I'm very happy with this organizer. It combines great quality and a great price.

The smell is pretty bad

It works well for what it is. All the stuff I need to be organized in the trunk fits well in this organizer. My biggest gripe with it, the smell! It smells so bad of chemicals and I've had it for at least a week now. If you have a hatchback where there's no separation between you and the trunk I would not get this because then the smell will get into the whole car. I have a separate trunk space so the smell just stays in the trunk. I would return it for a more eco-friendly one but I don't have the box anymore, which came ripped open by the way. If I come across another box that will fit it, I may return it for a different brand.

The product itself is what I wanted but when opening the package I find almost the whole product covered in mold spores. Very disgustingly kept for hygiene but the actual product once cleaned is what I want but I cannot believe the product turned up in this state especially for the amount of money I paid for it.

This product is way better than expected for the money. Extremely rigid and robust build. I certainly would not quibble at £50 for this item given its quality, size and robustness.

14 elasticated pockets with 1 adjustable . Internal removable panels allows for 3 to 6 compartments. Large enough to take a large pair hiking boots in 1 of the large sections. The product is perfect for my car to carry around paperwork in the pockets, winterboots , wet weather fear and additions PPE with room to spare. I am so impressed with product, it even come with a full length rigid cover.

1 minor detail added to this product would be a major help in stopping the concertina folding would be the addition of extra velcro strips on the front of each pocket to force open the entire carryall should you not want the cover, situations like grocery shopping as those bags would be to tall to use the cover anyway.

That said, it's a great product and I will not reduce the rating simply for a NICE to HAVE.

What appears to be a good quality product, I’ll know better when I use it. It folds up very small, so you can tuck it away anywhere. I would have no worries about it holding all of my shopping, even the heavy stuff. There’s just one little “let down”. With the item comes a card. The card offers a free gift, if you “follow the company on Facebook and Instagram. You then have to fill in a questionnaire, supplying your details such as email address, etc, etc. Then you find out that you’re only eligible if you live in USA, which I don’t…
If you live in UK, you get nothing, so don’t bother to do what it asks you on the card. Shame really, as every other aspect of the item is good. Also it was delivered in super quick time.

Be a great tidy place and organiser too. The three compartments can all be divided by a Velcro ‘wall’ giving you loads of flexibility with regards to 3 - 6 storage areas plus net pockets all the way around.
The pictures make it appear much more rigid than it is and whilst the ends are sturdy the walls, in order to be foldable to be fair, are material. The lid Velcro’s on and adds to the rigidity.
On the downside you get a little card offering a free tool if you follow them on Instagram etc but you can claim it because I bought it in the uk. Plus you can’t have the warranty because you’re not in the US. This peeves me because they send the card out with the product but you can’t have the service. Don’t sell and make money in the uk if you can’t offer the products/services you boast about!!!
However, whilst it isn’t a hard storage box it is a decent sized box that offers some flexibility and seems well made for for purpose. You just couldn’t pick it up once full as it would fold in on itself.
