"Do you mind if I use your bathroom?" I asked, heading in that direction. "I prefer it to the alternative," he said with deadpan delivery. Only the slightest twinkle in his eye gave him away. "I am housebroken, thank you very much," I replied jokingly. "I'm not so sure about Scarlet though..." I quickly closed the bathroom door on whatever response he had conjured up. It's rude to talk about someone when they're not around, you know."
I completly agree with the review by WOLFY. I like the seris but there where a few things that bothered me as well. Those that WOLFY mentioned and a few other things. Like the Scarlet / Ruby thing. The first book they make it seem that Rubys other half is a part of her, well in this book they make it more as if Scarlet is another enity all on her own. As her and Ruby each have thier own mind, views and thoughts throughout this third book. Also I think in the sex scene with Cooper when it says they "both come instantly" I think it meant Scarlet and Ruby did, not Cooper, which is confusing at times bc that happenend a few times where they were referring to Scarlett and Ruby but said "they" instead.
I know this is a 7 book seris so alot of the issues especially between, Ruby/Scarlet, Ruby/Cooper, and Ruby/Sean are going to be really dragged out but I really think either way they need to make Scarlet and Ruby mesh into one person more or seperate them more where Scarlets is her own enity so much where it would beg the question if Ruby had a way to seperate her and Scarlet would she? Sean obvisouly hates Scarlett with a passion but if Scarlet is a part of Ruby he would have to eventually accept her too and so far Sean looks at Ruby as Ruby but at Scarlet as a enemy and tells her constintly that he will kill her with no hesistation even though he knows Ruby can hear him but when Ruby is at the forefront he reassures her constantly he will not let her die but he so obvisouly means what he says, that he will kill Scarlet no problem and is adiment about not letting Ruby die. So it leaves me to believe he knows something or is figureing out about a way to seperate the two or kill one and not the other.
Also when Scarlet was in "HEAT" it bothered me that Ruby didnt feel or was in heat untill Scarlet made her feel it. They are sharing a body right? if one was in heat so should the other you would think. and if Ruby was so against the whole being in heat thing why didnt she just let Scarlet take over while she was with Cooper instead of just Meshing together for that brief amount of time. Scarlet and Ruby can Mesh together because Scarlet was in Heat but cant mesh together any other time? So I really believe that needs to be sorted out in the next book or it may get to complicated or confusing for some.
Also for the said of men Im definatly team Cooper and I really hope Ruby and Cooper may take Ronnie and Payta on the run with the Underground while tracking down the REV. Sean and his brothers obvisouly really dont have much love for any one other than themselves when they are already talking about making a 18 yr old un-trained healer girl, bond with one of them and i swear if they force her to bond to Sean all without her input or her consent I'll be done with the seris, in my opioun theres been enough rape in this seris already without basically doing emotional rape to a young navie girl. Ruby having actually been raped with no choice in the matter should kno better even though she makes it clear to Sean she wont stand for it she still goes to him later to confort him WTH? especially right after he basically told her Payta belongs to him already!! For Paytas sake I really hope Jay steps in when it comes to Payta, Brother PC or not I hope he stands by her and makes her his priority number 1 and proves that it is possiable for a PC to make love and those he cares about deeply a priority.
Overall I still really enjoyed the seris I really like Payta, Ronnie and Cooper and I really hope we get a more in depth look at the Underground in the up comming books.
