About the Author
I reside in Central Florida with the wife and two daughters. After thirty years in engineering, my time is now spent chronicling the adventures of fictitious heroes. They are off-world, fighting the good fight, keeping Man alive. For some it was meant to be their calling. For others... not so much. All however are willing to fight until the end. Flip open one of my books. Tag along as unlikely heroes try to conquer the galaxy or save all humanity. Get aboard as you're either with us or against us. This may be your ticket out of here... at least for a short while.
I loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series. Stephen Arseneault's previous series, which I highly recommend as well, typically have Humanity attacked by aliens and Humans improving their technology with each battle and win over the aliens. [Previous series in order are SODIUM, AMP, OMEGA, HADRON, ARMS. SODIUM is a little rough as his first work but still worth reading, and OMEGA differs in that the protagonist isn't Human but the antagonist is.] FREEDOM breaks his tendencies by having Humans suffering in slavery under their alien overlords. They are forced to struggle and navigate their way from a position of ultimate weakness. However, the challenges and solutions are as brilliant and as entertaining as always.
Let me start by saying I have read everything Stephen Arsenault has written. I really enjoy his characters and the stories and situations he creates. They are inspiring, action packed and have characters to really get involved with. The only problem with a new series, is waiting for the next installment. If you enjoy a good Space Opera, you will enjoy this book.
Once again I am impressed with another series by Stephen Arseneault. Good story line that builds interest as it moves along. Wish there wasn't such a wait between books. Waiting for the next in the series.
Enslaved for 10,000 yrs is a bummer. But only if you're aware of it. Nature has helped. A gastrol infection has immunized the mind numbing drug Shackle being administered. If a uncruel alien master wanna help, who's to say no? Freedom awaits the bold!
