--- Updated Jun 2017 ----FRTMA shipped me a replacement unit. I've been using it for a few months. I can confirm that the plastic did not tear like the previous version did - I'll chalk that up to a defective unit the first time around. The sleeve works well. Over time, it gets looser but continues to be tighter than the moxiware.Summary: This is the best magnetic sleeve I've found. However, in general magnetic sleeves are not reliable to carry the pencil safely in places where there are objects/people you can collide with. the pencil _will_ fall off. If however, you want a minimalistic magnetic sleeve, this seems to be the best bet.--- Old review ---I bought both the moxiware pencil and this product. Compared to Moxiware, this product is far better. Simply put, the moxiware product is thinner, but slides out of the phone in a week! I've been using the FRTMA for approximately a month and while it does get looser, it doesn't slide off the pencil (unless you manually pull it away).I've been pretty impressed except that a week ago, I noticed the rubber protection cracked along the lines and one of the magnets slipped out and fell off!I've attached a picture. I'd have rated this a 5 otherwise, but this is a pretty serious issue.

The Apple Pencil is a truly magical accessory for the iPad Pro, but it’s slippery and always rolls all over the place. Here the FRTMA Apple Pencil sleeve comes to save the day.

The FRTMA sleeve is a silicone holder and grip for Apple Pencil with 6 pretty strong magnets embedded into its side. The magnets allow you to attach the Apple Pencil quickly to the front side of the iPad Pro, the front sides of a magnetic smart cover, or pretty much any magnet-friendly metal surface.

The sleeve comes shipped in a small plastic tube, and it comes with an extra magnetic plate that you can stick to any surface to quickly store your Apple Pencil wherever you want.

PROS:
- The silicone texture feels pretty durable and high quality
- It gives my hand a nice, controlled grip while drawing -- not slippery like the bare Apple Pencil
- It stops your pencil from rolling around
- Magnets feel feel pretty strong -- once your pencil is anywhere near the magnetic sweet spot on the iPad Pro, it’ll lock into position. Once it’s attached, you can flip your iPad upside down and the pencil should stay attached, even with some light shaking.
- Fits very snug on the Pencil

CONS:
- It only covers and protects about 1/2 of the length of the Apple Pencil
- Installing the FRTMA sleeve is also kind of difficult to do -- you really have to give it a really good push and twist until it’s on there

Overall, the FRTMA sleeve is a beautifully minimal accessory that I highly recommend for the Apple Pencil. It makes drawing on the iPad pro a lot more precise and comfortable, while giving you more options for quick storage of the pencil when it’s not in use. This magnetic sleeve is an excellent accessory for my Apple Pencil. It’s the perfect size for my hands (approx. 6” wide) to hold. Sometimes My father however (who has large man-hands) says that he finds the sleeve uncomfortable for his sized hands and requests it to be removed when he uses it. The sleeve adds a lot of grip to the pencil, which is very slippery when used without, meaning that the pencil can be used for much longer periods of time without being uncomfortable. I do find the sleeve slides down the pencil but this is a minor inconvenience. Personally I have not used the magnetic feature of the sleeve, but given the weight of the pencil when in the sleeve, I would be concerned that the magnets were not strong enough to keep the pencil from falling off and getting lost.

Arrived slightly quicker than expected. Looks well and doesn’t take away from the overall look of the Apple Pencil. Feels nice in the hand and probably makes it a bit more comfortable to hold when writing.

I’m the type of person to leave my Apple Pencil somewhere and break it by accident so this is perfect for me. It feels smooth when you put it in and it’s snug so it won’t fall off. Thankfully it came with two magnetic strips that I put around my desk for when I’m working, it works great! It doesn’t stick THAT well to the iPad but it does what it needs to do so I don’t mind. It also just looks great, so I’d recommend it if you need something to keep track of your pencil.
