FRYE boots are famous for their high-quality leather and all-American appeal, and Veronica is no exception. This boot may be short in stature, but it's long in charm thanks to polished buckles and weathered leather that's beautifully broken in for rugged style you won't have to work at. A rubber sole lends grip to all-around-towning, so you're as sure footed as you are cool in Veronica.See all Product description

Dark Brown Burnished Antiqued Leather'. How could this be? Especially considering that the latter pair were full priced? I then went on to the FRYE Website and found the 'Dark Brown Stone Wash' boots... They were a completely different looking boot! Amazon had shared the same picture for two different boots (and in fact, the picture did not look like either boot: stone wash or antiqued! At least this is what I hoped when I decided to buy them! ... They were exactly the same as the boots I found on the FRYE Website! Size was a huge problem for me! I read and read all reviews hoping to find a common thread i.e. too small etc but there were a lot of contradictions. Normally I am a size 7 (in Aus which is the same in the US). I read a lot of reviews that these boots ran small so I decided I would try a size 7.5. I have never been an 8! I wear a lot of converse and it's always 7 (5 UK) but one thing I did think was I was usually a 38 when shoes were sized in EU. The 38 was 7.5 and that was my rationalisation. When I first word the boots (with socks... don't know why you wouldn't wear sock) my right toes had pins and needles!! Eventually they went away and I realised that the leather is soo soft, it was moulding to my feet! My foot fit into the boot and it didn't hurt in a few hours time as shoes that are a bit too small tend to do. The next three days however of wearing the boots constantly (wanted to wear them to bed I love them so much) I began to get a blister on my heel (first right foot and then left). Now every shoe that I have bought that have initially given me blistered heels end up being my most comfortable pair! This is true for this boot too! They just need to be worn in, literally. The boots weren't badly made i.e. with glue showing, or stitching coming undone as I had read in some reviews. There are no sizes in the boot but this is how they make them and I am a five star in love with them! Sorry for the novel guys but I think this review would have helped me so I'm hoping it will help you! Go for it, you won't be sorry!
I wanted a short black boot with a rounder toe, a wider shaft, and the engineer design. Harder to find than it sounds.
I am disappointed in the color as soon as I opened the box. They have way less wear than the picture shows, especially on the toe. So I recommend when choosing colors do research to see how they really look. I usually wear a size 8 or 81/2 in boots so after reading reviews that they were narrow I ordered 81/2 because of my wide feet. They are too big!!! My heel pops up every time I walk even with my thicker boot socks on. So I would buy your normal size. The leather is pretty stiff around the actual foot area. But the stitching looks great and I believe they are real Frye boots after inspection. There is no damage on them and they were delivered promptly as well.
I was a bit skeptical after reading many reviews on sizes and stretching, but to my surprise they were small at first, but not uncomfortable.
I plan to rock these with my wedding dress, so a thin sock would have been necessary anyway and I feel that they should stretch just a bit more because they are genuine leather, which will be perfect.
The craftsmanship is so beautiful and I cannot wait to wear them.
