I have used a 1002HA since August 2009. In that time, my standard power cord took abuse, and the tip had some sort of short circuit. I repaired it in a choppy manner, but it degraded.

I bought this item at a great price, and it is very fit for my needs. It has very similar form factor to the OEM charger. Only difference is there is no indicator on the 'brick' to show it's plugged in. The laptop tip is an L-shaped connector, and fits nicely. Does not come out during normal use.
Packaging was nice, very retail-store looking, though discarded. This adapter is great, it is very targeted at the EEE PC rather than just being a generic universal charger. Exact specifications as stock, 3.0 amps at 12.0 volt, for a 36 watt charging system.

There have been no buzzing/interference noises, no cut outs, nothing out of the ordinary while using this charger. In service for over one day now, so I can not speak for longevity first-hand, though it seems very amply built. Temperature is consistent and moderate, no worries of overheat. Great product, highly recommended to any Asus EEE PC user with a failed power supply.

I bought this adapter after my original ASUS1000HE cable stopped working and the replacement I'd bought from another company didn't work, either. The brick is small and the cable is VERY long, which means it's even more convenient than the original. Only negatives are that it doesn't have a light to indicate charging, and it can heat up just a tad bit more than I'd prefer (as with most bricks). All in all a high-quality product.
