I got this over a year ago because it was inexpensive and had a broad brim for sunny days, thinking, "it will do." Since then I've worn it to dozens of festivals or camping trips or whatever I felt like and it's kept its shape perfectly. I can throw it in the backseat of my car or fold the brim leaning my head against a headrest and it still looks like new. It's not hot, it's not rigid, it's not scratchy. It's actually great. The fabric doesn't look expensive, but that's not appreciable from more than a few steps away and it wasn't expensive, so fair enough? I am very impressed. I'd get more colors if I could.

I’ve just had plastic surgery and a chemical peel so I decided sun screen alone isn’t enough to protect my skin.

I’m not usually a hat person but needs must. I actually don’t hate this. I’ll be able to wear it out and about while protecting my skin. Nice and lightweight and stays on well.

I took it on a trip and it was easy enough to pack. I packed it with head side down and then filled the hat with socks, and undies to keep the hat part from becoming misshapen.

So I am not one to wear any kind of hat unless it's a baseball hat. I have a bigger head, being tall will do that to you. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I bought this hat in the large size with no expectations.

When it arrived it was packed nice in a hard plastic to keep its shape, which was surprisingly good! I eagerly cut the tags and jammed it on my oversized noggin! Low and behold IT FIT! I was pleasantly surprised and did a little happy dance.

Now for the fun part.. the hat has two places where you can attached the chin strap to keep it in place, but who ever needs them? Am I right? No I'm wrong! The first time I wore this hat I ended up going swimming after it on a windy beach day. Ps the water was still cold! After I dragged a soggy hat and myself onto the shore I was worried the hat was a goner. Yet again I was pleasantly surprised! It reshaped well and looks just as good as the day it arrived.

I wore it to the beach and dinner with friends and got a few compliments, which never happens to me. (Picture attached for proof!)

It doesn't block much sun from the lower part of my face, lips and chin, but it covers my eyes and forehead and looks cute so win, win!

Nice for the price, but with a defect

I was a little skeptical of this shipping in a bag, but it was well protected with molded cardboard and plastic and arrived in great shape. The fit is good (have a big head, got a L). The brim size is perfect for keeping the sun off without being in the way. My only concern is that the two small elastic loops for clipping the chin strap are defective. As you can see in the photos, there are two small strips of elastic - not sewn, and not a loop. So there’s nothing to clip the straps to. I was able to sew the loops closed myself but it was kind of a pain.

Edited for an update. The loops were there after all, but they’d been sewn under the strip of fabric you see in the picture. I used a seam ripper to carefully remove a couple stitches, pull the loops out, then glued the free string edges down. Looks and feels better than my poorly sewn repair.

This hat looks good, but the information online is a wrong. It says it comes in M or L. It even gave measurements to determine size. When it came it says One Size Fits all. I have a small head and it is huge. This is the second time Amazons description said to order a size and the hat came in One size Fits all. I sent the first one back. This was a different brand of hat, but the same thing happened. It does have a cheap ribbon inside to make it smaller. If you have a small or average size head I do not recommend this hat.

This is a fairly inexpensive hat but the quality is better than expected. I wear this on the weekends and to the beach all the time. Keeps the sun off my bald head and out of my eyes. I get a lot of compliments on the hat and it's very stylish. Would highly recommend.

Worth twice the price

I bought another hat first (Panama Jack Safari), which is very similar. The brim on the Panama Jack is smaller and the color a little different, but both are excellent hats. I'll likely buy a second one of this hat just as a reserve. I got both hats to wear with smart clothes when an event is in full sun. This hat has a useful feature of being adjustable to fit tightly, which maybe necessary on a windy day. The hats are both packed very carefully so as to arrive in perfect shape. This hat has a stiff plastic form that fits the hat with a disc that fits the rim. I intent to keep this to be able to pack the hat in a suit case. The accompanying box is not necessary.
