Not Washable!

I bought these specifically because the description said they were washable. My 3 kiddos have ruined numerous articles of clothing w/ non-washable watercolors. When the watercolors arrived there was no mention of 'washable' on the packaging, so I decided to test it out. I used an old rag and painted on it with many of the colors. I then sprayed it with Oxiclean as I normally would their clothes, let it soak for 7 hrs and washed it. As you can see -- the watercolors definitely did not come out. I'll be returning.

This is the second time time I have purchased these paints. These are excellent for children and adults alike. The pigments are so vibrant, and the paints last a really long time. I am very happy to see these pints are not made in China, they are made in Turkey. Great value for money.

Like a lot of the products I have reviewed on Amazon, I bought this one for my Montessori classroom, where it is in daily use by preschool-aged children. We are fairly firm about how we expect the children to use the paints -- no pan watercolors can hold up to a child determined to gouge out the color with his paintbrush, and we also demonstrate how to clean the brush between colors so we're not losing a lot of paint to the cleanup process. That said, this box of watercolors usually lasts us about four months compared to the Prang watercolors you can buy at the grocery store, which usually lasted only a week and never seemed as vibrantly colored as this set. I'll be so sad if they ever stop production on these -- not interested in finding something else when these work so well!

I've been a Faber Castell fan since I was a child. These paints do not disappoint. The colors are bright and saturated, and you don't need to rub them forever to get enough color on your brush. My 2-year-old and 4-year-old were able to use them just fine, getting nice colors without needing much technique (unlike other paints whose colors look too faint if you don't do it right). I might steal them for some painting of my own, in honor of my paint-filled childhood. Highly recommend!

I used these to paint some wooden trees for a playscape as well as the background on a wooden house shelf for my daughter's room/area. Very vibrant, good transfer, colors mix well and are not grainy. My two year old also loves painting with these, and the price is good. The included brush is much better than the cheap ones that come with a lot of kids' water colour sets.

I loved this set of paints. I bought them for my six year old granddaughter for her birthday. I am an artist myself and feel that children in this age range need paints that offer them a bit more in the areas of quality and variety. I also purchased artist grade watercolor paper for her so the results would be more exciting. Definitely worth the slightly higher cost which is no more than a Starbuck's latte.
