Excellent art smock for toddlers!

I looked at a lot of smocks before selecting these for my 2.5 year old daughters. I liked the look of the Melissa & Doug smocks better, but in looking at some of the customer photos, it appeared that it did not cover the neck well on the smaller kids. Some of the reviewers also mentioned poor fit on toddlers. With the long sleeves, I decided on this smock. It is great! I don't have to worry about them getting paint on any of their clothes. There is elastic at the sleeves, so their long sleeves stay clean. It is easy to put on and can be adjusted slightly - it has a strip of Velcro on the back, so i match the Velcro a little tighter on my girls. It fits well & appears to have plenty of room for growth. I didn't think these were as cute as some others, but they really are cute on my girls. It says 'artist at work' on the front, which my husband thought was cute. My kids have not complained about being hot in them. Unless you keep your house extremely hot, I don't see how that would be an issue. I think this art smock is a great value and would highly recommend it!

Each of my three children own one of these smocks and take it to school as part of their school supplies for art class. They attend a private school that goes to specified art class on a weekly basis - so they do quite a bit of crafts, painting, etc. It's well-made and has been sturdy enough to last my oldest daughter three years without any signs of wear or tear. There's no need to purchase a new art smock every year, thank God. We have yet to have an accident on clothing which is excellent... We liked it so much we ordered more of them so that we can keep some at home as well. It's hard to find a smock for home or school that goes down to the wrist and the elastic wrists are a bonus because they keep your shirt sleeves contained. We have written their names right on the smock with a sharpie to keep it from getting lost, it's very lightweight material and folds up easily into a quart sized Ziploc bag for storage in a locker or bin at art class

I bought this for my 2 five year old boys. One wears a 3T and this fit him well with room to grow. The other wears a size 6 shirt and it was snug on him but will work for this school year. I would say this fits a max size comfortable of size 5. i love the long sleeves as a lot of the smocks are sleeveless and I like how it covers the whole front side. It is easy to put on and off. It is a little thin but I don't think my boys would wear it if it was not so thin. It is a good value for the money.

My son loves to paint, so I was looking for a smock to keep him and his clothes paint free. I got this one because of all the great reviews, but like some have said, it's a little loose on a 2 year old. At first I tried to do the Velcro in the back but the smock was very droopy on him, every time he leaned forward, the smock would fall forward onto his painting (when he paints while sitting down, not on the easel). I ended up tying the two strap (with velcro) in a knot and it solved all our problems. He has been using this for over 3-4 months now, and it has been in the wash several times and still holds up well. The material is thin but I like it because it doesn't get too hot for him yet still keep the paints off of him.

Nice but too tight around the wrist

I bought this for my 5 year old for his Kindergarten art class. He's about 46" tall and weighs about 50 lb. It fits if he has a t-shirt on (which is what he only likes to wear). But if your kiddo has a sweater/sweatshirt, it may be tight around the chest. The one down fall is that the elastic around the wrist is very tight which is why a took one star away. I understand it's tight to keep paint from going up, but is so tight it leaves imprint marks on his wrist. I kept it anyways. The seller sent it quick.

I like this, it is washable, seems like it won't break down at the seams the more my daughter wears it, and when I roll the sleeves up, they stay up. My two year old is small for her age and this covers well. Although I just wish it had the velcro extend the length on her back because now I use a safety pin to close the neck area up more. If I didn't, the smock would be almost off her shoulders.

Overall the smock seems to be of acceptable quality.
We're not planning to wash it often so it should last a while.
We're only using it about once a week at the art class.

The only thing is the size. The sleeves seem to be a bit short for our almost-6 yo (who's tall for his age - 44"). The packaging says 3+, so don't plan to buy it for older children (but of course it depends on your kid's size =).
Please, pay attention to this.

Decent cover, but fastener issues

It's a good covering but my issue comes in the fastener in the back. I thought it would be velcro -- but it's missing the soft half of the velcro fastener. So it just has two of the hard sides, if that makes sense. Ergo, they don't fasten to each other. It's very thin, but i think so long as it's taken care of, it should be fine.
