In 1952 the price of bread cost 16 cents. Anchorage, Alaska where I was born was still a territory.

Being part Athapascan Indian I heard story telling from my mother who was raised at our families commercial fishing village. My father worked on the Alaska Railroad. Being the youngest of 8, all of us were quite energetic and lived through quite a lot of Alaskan sized adventures.

Just as exciting as the stories my husband and I would read from the books to our children and grandchildren that we got from our local library.The library was a family favorite place to go. So, I decided to write stories for fun.

Creating characters and writing about the things that took place in Alaska is something that I truly enjoy. Mr. Walt Disney was my inspiration because of his love of family and children. My interests are varied from enjoying all that southern California has to offer to watching classic movies with my husband.

Mary's description of how she literally came face-to-face with John Lennon is a fun read, and she does a good job of explaining what it was like in the summer of '66, when the Beatles came to Anchorage! I was there too, my Mom had driven me downtown and we watched the excitement of the crowd and hoped for that same wave out the windows which Mary tells of waiting for! It was a grand time to be a teenager in Alaska's biggest city!

Although an interesting short insight into Beatlemania, this is just so very badly written, both from a storytelling and grammatical perespective, that it was very difficult to enjoy it.
