My wife and I have watched every episode of this show. One of the things we love is how the contestants and judges aren't out to get each other. There is no winning by trickery. Contestants either make the best makeup or they go home. Because of that perhaps you find them all helping each other and forming friendships. That is just part of what makes the show a joy. The actual competition is fantastic. Even after 13 seasons we find it's just as enjoyable. This season, the 13th is the best one in a while. It shows that just when you can't imagine the show not getting stale and old it manages to be fresh and worth watching.
Have been watching since Season 1 - great show and sad it's leaving. The world needs more positive creative reality shows like this that focus on the art and not the drama.
One of my favorite shows. Competition for special effect artists. Such good challenges to meet and very informative if you often wonder how special effects are done. Love all the judges and the hostess (and her father). Highly recommend this show.
I heard rumor this would be the last season and I hate to see this show go. The artists are so talented which makes the show fun to watch. All of them in the last bunch of seasons have been nice people so there is not drama and fighting amongst the contestant...it really is a show about talent and skill and I find the end review of what everyone has made just amazing. I also gained a new perspective and insight on what goes on behind the scenes in movie making!
Great to see artists and competition in this genre. Even better that this show doesn't have any of the b.s. drama that so many other competitive reality shows usually have. No stupid scenes with contestants yelling at each other or storming away from the camera, just good clean art making on a frantic schedule. Sad to see this series come to an end.
