I bought this cleanser solely because it had listed that their ingredients DO NOT have sulfates. This is personally significant because I can not use any products containing either sulfates or parabens, as I have eczema and both of those components immensley irritate my skin. I read over the ingredients of the product once I had recieved it to double check, and what do you know...it contains sodium lauryl sulfate! This particular product is suppsoedly not returnable either. I’m extremely disappointed to say the least.

One of the first evening steps of my beauty routine, to cleanse your face without stripping it of moisture. This products is a crucial part of my routine, and lathers richly and smoothly with a lovely scent.

Remember, your basic beauty routine should consist of approximately 5 - 10 steps;

1. Makeup Removal (typically an oil)
2. Facial Cleanse/Wash & Lip Scrub, to remove dead skin, buildup of oil, and any remaining makeup residue
3. Toner, to rebalance and reintroduce moisture to your washed face
4. Emulsion, to add more hydration to your balanced face
5. Serum, to add special nourishment/anti-aging to your hydrated face
6. Cream, to lock in everything
7. Facial SPF, to protect (Day) or Night Pack (Night)
8. Eye cream (Day formula is typically SPF, or Hydrating Night Eye Area Pack for night), to hydrate and/or protect the sensitive eye area
9. Lip Pack (Day formula is typically SPF, or Hydrating Night Lip Pack for night), to keep exfoliated lips hydrated and protected thought the day or night

Optional additions include facial masks once or twice weekly and facial mists to keep a hydrated face throughout the day. There are certainly other additions to any routine, but what I've personally listed and numbered are what I find cover the basic length of a typical, daily and nightly Korean facial routine.

Let me start off by saying that I don't usually write reviews unless I absolutely love the product. I've been using this with the Raw Sauce for about two weeks now. I wasn't really paying any attention to my face afterwards because I usually wash it at night before I go to bed. Well yesterday I used this in the shower in the morning. After going through my normal routine, I look in the mirror to start my makeup. I actually surprised myself! I was quite shocked when I saw how nice my skin looked! I didn't even really need foundation! My skin looked bright, even, and soft. I will continue using this product for years to come now that I've noticed the difference.

I have combination skin and have trouble finding good face wash. I am dry on my cheeks, oiley on the nose and eyelids, and neutral everywhere else. For oil i try face wash that reduces it, but it makes my dry skin even worse. I have tried moisturizing face wash, but it makes my oiley spots even oilier. This wash makes my whole face neutral, it smells very mild, id say it smells like rice water mixed with the tiniest bit of marshmallow, though you really have to try and smell it to notice an aroma, so dont worry if youre a sensitive person with smells. The size is hard to see from photos but Id say a good comparison is like the bottles of lotion you get from bath and body works, i was surprised, i thought it would be small like a hand cream. It makes your skin feel like mochi or something slightly powdered yet gooey, hard to explain, but it doesnt feel heavy or drying like other face washes, where your skin feels tight and stretches at any movement. This is gonna be a re-order for sure.

I do not believe I have sensitive skin, but something about this product made me break out VERY bad! I have never had acne, maybe one of two small occasional pimples every couple months or so in my slightly oily t-zone area. This product made my forehead and chin break out with about 5 pimples on each area constantly! I wanted to love this product, but it did not work for me. I tried to return this product, but this seller does not allow for it. That is okay, I gave it to my younger sister and she loves it- it works great for her! I switched to Walmart's Equate dupe for the CeraVe Foaming Cleanser and my breakouts healed within a week.

Messes up skin severely!!!

I never do these reviews especially with pictures but this is insane! I googled best face washes under $40 and this one came up on several sites. I don't have sensitive skin, I use Neutrogena hyaluronic acid moisturizer, Garnier gel moisturizer, No 7 eye cream. So I can use pretty much any brand I've used several over my 42 years and never ever had this happen. After we moved to Cali from Missouri I started getting really dry skin so some face washes dry it out more or cause a little acne which I never had until moving here. I bought this, loved it the first time. Used it again about 2 days later and thought I loved it but feel a little itchy. I had switched face cream at the same time so I thought it was the cream. Used this face wash again and I'm completely broke out in some kind of rash the next morning. My face is drier than it's ever been. I didn't use it again until about 5 months later and thought maybe it was that face cream and I didn't give it time to totally get out of my skin. So I tried the face wash again and this is how I woke up after the 2nd wash in a 3 day period. This pic was taken 2 days later and it's still so bad it almost looks like a chemical burn. Keep in mind other than a mole and a couple freckles my face is always really clear. Do not buy!!!!

Since I make my own moisturizer using essential oils, shea butter, and coconut oil I was able to adjust the richness of my moisturizer and that took care of the dryness. I really love the product. This facial cleanser is a good product and at a great price. I love the smell.

Causes Severe breakout

I have always used the same cleanser for years and gave this product a try after reading rave reviews. I use this after DHC deep cleansing oil as part of a double cleanse routine. I lather up a small amount on my palms before applying the foam onto my face in a circular motion. It has a nice smell and my skin felt clean afterwards, if anything a little too clean as if the soap and SLS element has stripped away the natural oil on my skin. The worst part is when I woke up the next day, my face had broken out. I didn't put the two and two together at first and carried on using it for a few days (only in the evening) when my face became red and severely irritated. My skin is not perfect but I rarely get breakouts so this was definitely an allergic reaction. I researched the ingredients in this foam and there is a lot of ingredients that can cause acne (SLS, Lauric Acid,Hexylene Glycol) and it has a lot of perfume. I've stopped using this product and reverted back to my usual routine to let my skin calm down. Would not recommend if you have acne prone skin.

This is a nice cleanser, I have oily skin and this leaves it feeling very clean and soft. It is a foaming face wash so to apply it you lather up a small blob in your hands and massage onto your face. As other reviewers have noted, you must be very careful when you rinse it off because it stings like crazy if you get even the tiniest amount in your eyes! Having said all that, after a few weeks of using it I've not noticed anything particularly great about my skin. It's a nice product but I don't think it's particularly special so I'm not sure I'll bother re-ordering when this tube runs out.
