This is among the greatest masterpiece books on relational theology, relationships, and becoming proficient in being relational than any other book I've ever read or heard about. Marty seems to cover it all, and all in the context of the relational nature of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, which add to the practical depth, and keeps it out of the realm of being a how-to, do-it-yourself, try-harder type approach. It reads more like 'see how you are loved, initiated with, invited to come fully as you are'...and Marty provides helpful ways to learn to love and relate with others in this same manner. Whether you're gifted relationally and want to help others to be too, or you feel you struggle in connecting with others, this is an incredible book for all. I bought this book to give to friends who long for deeper connections with others (and with God) and feel like they can't.
