A practical guide to facial-feminization surgery for the male who is transitioning to female, this book focuses on a pioneering form of cosmetic surgery that reshapes the male facial structure. Dramatic before and after photographs and detailed illustrations of each surgery show how reconstructive surgery recontours the brow and nose ridge, reduces the size of the jawbone and chin, and reshapes the trachea to eliminate the Adam’s apple.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2013This book is very informative, and clearly illustrated. It clearly outlines what can be expected with FFS. I do hope to have FFS one day.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2010In reading this book, I got the impression that the author is very passionate and caring about his work. He also expressed his primary concern as being that of the patient. I am seriously considering FFS but, like most people, have concerns. I could only hope to find such a caring and knowledgeable physician in my area!
I would recommend this book to others looking for this type of procedure.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2016excellent book that clearly explains the procedures available
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2014As one of the lucky girls to go through FFS with Doc O, I have to say this is a very caring, dedicated man who has done so much for the TG community. When I was making my decision on a surgeon, it occurred to me, this is something I will have to live with the rest of my life, so I would much rather have the pioneer in FFS do my surgeries.
This book is very thorough and helps you to determine which surgeries you want to have done.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2010The before and after photos in this book are the most stunning I have ever seen. For many of the transsexual patients in this book Dr. Ousterhout's surgery transforms them from someone who would not pass as a woman to someone whom you would never know was not born a natal female.
