Aiden Chesterfield needs Camaron. In his own book, that I really adore, he comes to the starring role in a good way. What I like about book series is the continuation of other characters. I dont like cliffhangers that leave you drooling until the next book. This is a series and so far book one was about Gray and now this is about Aiden, book 3 will be Hunter. That is the one I am drooling over and cant wait to read!
This book goes through changes within Aiden and Cam's (Camaron) relationship. The entire back-story for these two characters is finally out. So we learn that Hunter was the protector of Aiden and the details will shock and amaze. Aside from this story, which I wanna squeal about, but I cant! What I will say is Hunter is my hero! He is all that! The best personality, sense of humor and he is hot. What else is there? Hunter is my hero!
The Gray and Daisy are another couple that make me laugh. She is the funniest pregnant girl ever! Its been years for me and I dont remember the whole hormone thing but I laughed for her!
The plot for this take a few twisting turns that I think the author likes for shock value! There is a threat of course Tad is looming. WOW another shocker with that. Just read it.
Seriously show Hunter some love! We want Chase we want CHASE! CHASE and HUNTER please and TY
We met Camaron (Cam) and Aiden in book one, Escaping Me, and you just knew these two had serious demons they were facing. And they do. Neither had a great childhood. Leaving them both damaged and slightly broken.
Cam delt with things by withdrawing, and hiding within herself. If you're quiet, and don't draw attention to yourself, odds are you will not be noticed and passed over. A safety net of self preservation.
Aidens childhood was out of control. So now, as an adult, he takes control to an extreme. In every aspect of his life. Almost to the point of being obsessive about needing to be in on every decision and keeping the band on track. He can't turn control over to anyone for any reason.
At the end of the first book, Aiden sends Cam away, hoping she will take the time to heal what's broken inside of her. Not realizing at the same time he has as much, if not more healing to do himself.
Aidens brother Hunter, the lead singer of the band, has always rubbed me the wrong way. He's never been a favorite of mine. But after learning more about what happened to him and Aiden, you definitely see him in a different light. His over the top antics are, I think, a sort of buffer for him. This book had Hunter looking into the future a bit for the first time. Not just living in the moment with whichever willing female he could get.
I really liked the book. The people touring on this bus are a family. They love each other, they bicker, they fight, they play and they will defend what's theirs with their very lives. You can't help but love them.
My only problem with the story was the first part of the story, before Cam and Aiden are reunited is is a bit too "angsty" for me. Too whiny. But that aside, It was a fun book.
I'll be getting the next one.
Facing Me is the story of Aiden Chesterfield and Camaron Allen. We met Aiden and Cam in the first book of the series. Aiden has had a hard childhood and needs control and domination over his life now, and in the bedroom is no different. Camaron doesn't feel that she is what Aiden needs and after a fight he ends up sending her away. She moves to Las Vegas to begin a new life. Shaft's success keeps mounting to the top and what happens when Cam is needed back in the world she left? Will her and Aiden be able to remain friends? What if Aiden wants more than a friendship with Cam? Will she ever feel worthy of his love? You definitely have to read this series! I love all the Shaft boys! My heart broke for Aiden and all the pain he's kept bottled up inside him. I wanted to be there to hug him and tell him it will all be okay! This series is so amazing and I can't praise it enough! The writing is flawless and it has everything I love in a good book! 5++++ stars for this book!!!
I can't wait for Hunters book soon! Cat Mason Job WELL DONE! Ps... LOVED how you threw in the doctors name! Brilliant touch of Hitchcock and King there.
10/5 Stars! Brilliant seamless writing, excellent plot twists and SMOKIN sexual content! Bring on the Bacon King soon!
