This is a wonderful book that is used as a teaching tool. It is a beautifully illustrated 3-d book on the facts of life. One can use this book to explain to their children about the facts of life...pregnancy and childbirth. Practioners can use this book to explain to their patients about pregnancy/fetal development and child birth. This book is for everyone. A great book to have on your bookshelf. Definitely worth the money!

The work on this book is professional and worthy of any biology course. Good addition to health curriculum. I would recommend that parents review the book before deciding whether it is appropriate for your children, everyone's views on educating offspring on the reproductive cycle are different. But it was a great help to us and knowledge is power.

I purchased this, used, for my 10 year old and for natural birth clients. What gorgeous works inside a little book! I appreciate accurate information, unusualness, and beauty wrapped into one - this book has all of that and more.
My 10 year old read through this about 5 times in a one-week period. There have been a few giggles, but many serious studying sessions. It's helpful to have something like this to have an honest dialog with your children about human reproduction, so that your children know they can talk with you about it all and don't have to look elsewhere, possibly getting inaccurate information.
If you can obtain a copy of this book, it is well worth it, to add to any children's, homeschooling, birthy, or interesting/unusual library.

But, as visual learners, my kids really like this book after they get past the facts that it is depicting a *a-hem* sensitive subject. It is well done and quite tactful and just plain neat to look through.

My mother bought this book for my sister and me when we were children and it was the best way to teach about the facts of life. 30 years later, I still remember the lessons learned. I have now given this book to my niece so that she too will learn the proper medical facts of the human body and reproduction. I would recommend this book to anyone. It gives facts in straight-forward and non-biased way.

This book has been around forever. It's how I learned about the facts of life back when I was 4, so I can say from experience that it is an effective tool for teaching children in an undramatic and straight forward way. It takes the stigma out of the whole thing. It wasn't a big scary talk, because it was just biology.
