I know three things about my neighbor, Adam.

This was a friend's to lovers/rock star story and despite this being a trope it managed to pull off feeling original and standing out.

The characters are interesting and 3 dimensional. They felt like fleshed out people. Their relationship was cute, sweet and frustrating (in a good way). The steamy scenes were unique and well written.

One thing I loved is the author really takes their time and gives you a lot of their story. It spans over a decent amount of time, both the lead up but also once they are together we are treated to a significant amount of time seeing them together and happy. Most romance novels tend to wrap up pretty quick once they get their happy ending. This one lingered a little. In a good way.

Also side note, I liked that the main female character was biracial and tall and fun. Most main female characters fall into three categories blond, brunette, red headed, most are tiny or short, and many are innocent/passive/shy/submissive etc ...

Nothing wrong with that but it's refreshing to get a female character that is different.

I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Okay so I wanted this to be a solid 4 or even 5 stars because overall the book was good and the chemistry between the 2 main characters was hot. Also the band members were mentioned without overshadowing the H/ h but what I could not get over was the need to have sex where people could watch! I mean just write the characters as having careers in the porn industry. Cringe! When I think of sexy times I did not want the H parading the woman he is supposed to love and possess to have strange men and women watching that is downright creepy. I was so turned off by their exhibitions that when I was saw they offer to know what happened at the club graduation night I was like no thank you 🥹

Ohhhhh man I don't think I can even put into words how much I loved this book. I fell for Adam in Built to Fall, lol He was a lovable player that made some errors in judgement , I couldn't help but fall for his charm. When the Seasons Change series was announced I couldn't contain my excitement for Adam's story. It was worth the wait. Adelaide is Adam's perfect match. You know sometimes when you really love a character you can be disappointed in the direction the author takes them. I won't lie, I was nervous because we cling to our favorites and our own ideas of where their journey should lead. I was worried for NOTHING! Adam and Adelaide's journey was PERFECTION. I am not not sure who I'm obsessed with more Baddie (Adelaide) or Adam. Even though I'm not anywhere near a model , I really related to the struggles Baddie faced and her own ability to be self aware enough to know her own heart. Ohhhh Adam what can I say, he broke me heart in his typical f***Boi ways. Sometimes we deny our true feelings and are so convincing we never see what's really happening. Every crossing lines we promised ourselves we wouldn't. Ahhhhh as per usual Julia caused all the emotional damage and then put us back together. This book was a slow burn for sure but man when it ignited it was an inferno!! thank you Julia for letting me be an ARC reader for this book. It was another phenomenal read!!

Watching the Friendship Boundaries Being Pushed Was A Great Experience

I enjoyed the close friendship that Adam and Addie grew as next door neighbors. I loved watching the boundaries of their friendship get pushed. Although Adam was obtuse and did something hurtful, he became worthy of forgiveness . I was so pleased when he became protective, giving, jealous and possessive of his Baddie.

I loved Addie as a heroine. Even though Adam is the rockstar, Addie rocked in her own ways. Her hurtful experiences brought tears to my eyes as I read. She was strong, even in her vulnerability. She became determined to pursue what she wanted in life despite the obstacles in her way.

Natalie is the character that raised my blood pressure up. Her mean actions made me so angry on the behalf of Addie. I’m sure all readers will relate.

There were several spicy scenes in this book. I loved reading what happened at a club and a bakery with wedding cakes to sample. There were also hot scenes that included wonderful descriptions of a piercing one of the characters had.

I loved reading the updates about several characters from previous books. I especially enjoyed seeing a couple from a previous book get married. Although characters from previous books are mentioned, this can be read as a standalone. This book left me craving to know more about the story of June and Diego.

By the middle way of this book I was 100% invested but I feel like this didn’t start off hot and heavy and interesting like some of the others. Of course that’s probably the point of the friends to lovers trope. I really throughly enjoyed the kink aspect of this book though, and that’s why I started reading it at all.

I really liked this, the way it started so you were hooked to see where it went, it had a lot of the feels, my only downside is, I would've liked some kinda... closure? On the molly thing, don't get me wrong it wasn't integral to the story, and in a way there kind of was, but it wasn't enough for me personally, I think with the way he snapped when she was mentioned and the fact that so far into their friendship he wanted to meet, even if just to ask what went wrong (I assume for his own closure) gave the impression he was still in some way hung up on that, so I don't think that got properly portrayed or taken care of, same as what he said in his bathroom, yes he apologised profusely etc but why did he say it? I think a part of him actually thought it and that was never squared he just said 'you have to forgive me' 'I don't know why I said that'. It could get a little annoying the way he wouldn't let her breathe sometimes. Aside from that though, it was hot and I was hooked

Adam & his 'Baddie', Adelaide. Adam is a charmer, a player. He falls in love quickly but it always seems to 'fade in bloom'. Adelaide is the opposite physically from Adam's 'usual type'. She is a tall, thin, beautiful model.
The book starts at the end of their friendship, which Adam doesn't understand. He has been on tour, has been missing Baddie and is eager to see her but finds her moving out of the apartment next door to him and intending not to let him know. Then the book goes back in time to the start of their friendship. They are neighbours and as friends they grow closer and closer 'hanging out' every day. Adam wants to keep sex out of their friendship, including any talk of sex and doesn't reveal his kinks. Adelaide is aware of her attraction to Adam but is constantly dating, trying to find a boyfriend, as she knows Adam doesn't see her that way. Their friendship changes when they start sharing sexy photos & videos, thinking it is ok within the boundaries of their friendship, as long as they don't cross the line & actually touch each other.
It takes a long time (and some help from his bandmates) for Adam to work out what he is feeling for Adelaide isn't just friendship.
These books are all well-written page turner with unique characters.
