I was especially interested in the fact that the faces of Jesus and Paul do not show up in art until the 5th or 6th century- although there are images of bishops! Why not the face of Jesus? Rush presents a strong case for seriously questioning the dates assigned to the Gospels.
And also, another observation, regardless if Jesus was a mushroom or a human being; Jesus's message of "know thyself, seek knowledge and be a decent person" got lost when Christianity became an oppressive political system. The mushrooms are in the art and although, Rush's explanations might not be correct- they are certainly entertaining and thought provoking, the mushrooms need to be explained. There is a great deal of interesting and provocative information in this work that goes way beyond mushrooms and questions the basis, the platform upon which the Catholic Church and the Christian myth were built. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This is one of the greatest loads of crap I have ever read.
Anyone who has actually studied Judaism and the Koran and lived in Israel for several years at least, will instantly recognise most of this as BS instantly.
The author uses supposition, inuendo, conjecture and hyper-theoretical references to supposedly create or establish links between people and groups.
Such as HAGAR "may" have been given to Abraham by Pharaoh which he then goes on to now establish as fact that Abraham knew Pharaoh because it fits his delusion. There is not even any reference to where this amazing theory came from.
This author has never even bothered to actually study the target languages and makes astounding and monsterous blundering errors at such a rapid pace it seems almost like he is deliberately creating dis-information.
This book should be considered science fiction at worst and bad toilet paper at best.
Lets look at a few mistakes.
The actual book starts on page 81.
He claims that ESAU is the Arabic word for Jesus.
ESAU is the anglisized version of the Hebrew ESAV who was the brother of Jacob.
The ESSENSE did NOT follow ESAU and nor did they follow Jesus, indeed Jesus was a member of the essene sect (Barbara Thiering et al Dead Sea Scrolls)
The essenes were "outcasts" from mainstream judaism, they were KERET which means cut off because they had violated one of the "severe" commandments like sleeping with a woman when she was menstrating or other such desecration. (so much for the references to being strict followers of jewish law)
Elohim is not the inefferable name you dolt, the inefferable name is YHVH which most people call jehovah or yahweh.
Elohim has the numerical value of 86 and is listed as GEVURAH on the 10 sephirot (opposite Hesed). It has the same numerical value as YOSI from whence the name Joseph comes from in english. Instead of calling God "HaShem" or "EloKim" the dudes in the olden days called God YOSI. You proberbly know him as the father of Jesus. (sepher yetzirah by Kaplan)
Adon does not come from ATEN
The ATEN in ancient Egypt was the sun.
Also, the T and D have different alpha-bet (alefbet) characters in Hebrew which are as distinctive as the english T and D
I suspect you did your research at the Library of Alexandria.
You have 2 T's in Hebrew counter to your claims.
TET and TAF (Tav)
D = Dalet (or Daled depending upon the dialect)
So there goes another line of coke.
The E and O is Hebrew are distinctive vowels points called Nikudot and the E EH O OH and OO are all very different vowel points (dots and dashes)
Another line of coke this guy was smoking.
This is just tooooo convoluted and the explaination is too complex to go into here, needless to say, ZERO research again.
There are 3 references to ADAM in this first part of the old testiment, all 3 of which are important.
OH WAIT - I see where you did your research.
I am starting to see a book based on the dis-information website called wikipedia.
There was no CHICKEN or EGG business. What came first was the Dynosaur, Dinosaurs evolved into birds.
Problem solved 300 million years later.
Last paragraph, the evil and nasty bit.
The concept here is as follows (simplified version) the "soul" enters the "system" via the bottom Sephirah (10 sephirot) called MALCHUT which is considered tainted or a bad modern translation is evil. Tainted, blemished or impure is the correct description.
It then enters the body via YESOD or the foundation for those who understand these things. I will not elaborate here. (and Abraham sat in the door of his tent in the heat of the day [b-hom hayom])
The soul then has the auspicious task of "elevating" itself UP the tree of life using the body to which it is spiritually connected, to purify itself since the soul is intangible.
IF the author had actually read the koran (koran qur'an is like kabbalah or qabbalah, pointless nitpicking), he should be asking "why" it constantly refers to WE did this and WE did that.
EVE did not have any daughters. (clarification here)
IF you had read the orignal books on this matter - you would have known that it clearly states that all of Adam and Eve's children were TWINS - oh wait - you did not bother to learn ancient biblical Hebrew I am guessing?
I can go on and on for almost every page but lets jump ahead a little to page 163 (good number in Chinese).
The BIBLE CODE
You have never met or spoken with the guy who did most of the work on this program. I have.
Your shallow attempt to pretend to know how the complexities of this Torah code works is abysmally pathetic.
And while it is theoretically possible to "bible code" other books on a superficial level, the complexity, accuracy and depth of the Torah is something you first need to learn OLD Hebrew to understand just how complex it is.
If I was younger I would be very angry at your gross stupidity and intellectual ineptness.
This book if a work of fiction and the very few references I have seen which do have some validity, I am guessing are simply accidental.
This book can only be appreciated by people who have never studied Hebrew or Arabic, nor the Torah or the Koran or the Indian Mahabharatta nor any of the other ancient religions. So what ever you read in this book will sound good.
Before you publish any more comments, at least learn Hebrew and compare between the English and Hebrew versions of the bible. You will be frequently disappointed at what you find due to many mis-interpretations.
I threw this book in the rubbish, I do not need to clutter my brain with such dis-information.
