When I bought the box of fill a few days ago (Nov 2015) the price was twenty bucks with free Prime shipping. Today, I see the same item is selling for almost twice that, plus over ten bucks shipping. Just keep that in mind; the price may fluctuate significantly between sellers.
I definitely recommend this for a sofa with a cushioned back, as long as the cushions are fillable (check for a zipper on the bottom or back). I don't think it would work as well for the seat cushions, as those are typically filled with big wedge pieces of foam with batting, which helps them keep their shape.
When I purchased this 10lb box it was offered with Prime for $20. I didn't need that much but at that price, how could I afford not to buy it. So far I've used this to make a large toy whale for my nephew and 2 throw pillows for my mother. With the amount I used for these projects, it already paid for itself with what I would have spent going the Hobby Lobby route.
I have many more plans for this stuff for the future. This is definitely a great deal, especially for the price I got it at.
So far, I've made two regular bed-size pillows and three smaller ones, and there doesn't even seem to be a dent in what's left. The stuffing is easy to work with and pull apart, and has no plastic odor like some others I have worked with. Getting it stuffed evenly into corners and firm enough to your standards is just a matter of patience; this stuff is very forgiving. For 20$ I can't beat the value; I'm usually spending 3-4$ a pound which can only make one normal size pillow. If you're looking to make dolls or other stuffed toys, I would say that the quality of this stuffing is definitely up to the task.
