This product was exactly what I expected it to be, but with a fun little surprise. It was the right amount of polyester fiber for the project I was making and it filled it nicely with a good amount of loft and consistency. It didn't come out too lumpy. Plus it's made with recycled materials and comes with a design for an owl plushy printed on the back of the packaging!
The fun surprise was that it includes a "Free Stuffing Tool" which turned out to be 1 chopstick in classic chopstick paper (but with "stuffing tool" printed on the paper). I was thrilled to receive a single chopstick, which was completely useless for my project, but had me rolling on the floor laughing about how chopsticks really are amazing tools for just about everything and about how confused the chopstick manufacturer must have been when Poly-fil asked them to package chopsticks, one-per-wrapper.

Do not purchase the 12 Oz. The 16 oz one is cheaper. After purchasing the 12 oz bag on Amazon, find the 16 oz bag at Walmart for half of the price :(. Any way, I decided to keep it. Too much work to send it back.

Works great, these bags come with a lot of polyester fiber that is prefect for serving as a replacement for cotton in arts and crafts, however I use this fiber as a course mechanical filter for my aquarium's canister filter, and it works great at catching debris and particles that come its way. The fiber itself is very soft and fluffy to the touch, I would recommend this product to anyone trying to do arts and crafts, as well as aquarium owners.

Some say you can get this cheaper at Wal-mart. That maybe so, but not all Wal-marts sell this(ours don't). If it isn't selling, they discontinue it. We live in a very rural area and finding this at a store would require a road trip. So for us it is a great price. Bag is 16 X 10 inches and 28 inches around, more than enough for our craft projects. Great body and retention and easy to work with.

I used 4 bags to add stuffing to the pillow arm sofa that I bought...ironically had zippers on the arms so you could add more stuffing...as if they knew they were shorting people. Here's your new sofa...now YOU fill it with poly fil. meh. This stuff is very springy, and so far, no compacting.

I purchased this to add a bit more to my down alternative pillows, they sort of flatten out after a few hours each night, which causes some discomfort. This fiber fill is pretty basic and easy to use. I did get a chuckle out of the "stuffing tool" they provide in the bag, which is really a single chopstick.
